StoreKit is a digital menu and payment technology software that helps businesses accept orders for food and drink. With click & collect, delivery, and in-store ordering modules, StoreKit not only saves restaurants operational costs and the fees demanded by delivery platforms; but it also increases the size of customer orders through better upselling and modifier sales. Unlike its competitors, StoreKit is a payment processor, meaning the software itself can be used for free – these prices don't come in addition to those of a third party processor.

Pros:

Ease of use, straightforward to navigate for on the backend and for customers, order tracking/status updates sent to customer, customisable, possible to have multiple stores, layout & design of storekit is friendly and exciting & finally, the customer service is attentive and the SK team are quick to respond and sort out your enquiries.

Cons:

Only one thing: that I can't drag products from one category to another one without having to create the product twice. Minor minor hindrance which just means having to manually total the sales from the product(s) when analysing reports.

Fantastic for food places that take orders days in advance

Overall it's been great, the system is easy to use and customers like it, just the issues with delivery fees not being charged have been difficult to get solved

Pros:

It took me a while to find a platform that was suitable for my business - I take orders for specific days (Thursdays - Saturdays) and can only take 3 orders per day maximum, and customers pick their date and I hand deliver products to their door. The system is super easy to use and make changes to products and add store notices (if the store is closed for certain days for example)

Cons:

Sometimes when I make updates to products/delivery areas/store notices, the system will take in extra orders and go above the 3 maximum orders per day that I set, so I have to apologise and refund the customer. Also I've had occasions where the customer has requested delivery but the system didn't charge them a delivery fee.

Reasons for switching to StoreKit

Wix was not fit for purpose for meeting 3 orders a day and was not mobile friendly. It might have changed now but I'm happy with what I've got!

A cost effective alternative to the major player third party food delivery companies.

- Increased Gross Profit on delivery orders by 16.1% and on collections by 10.1%. - Fastest task completion time 20 seconds (after previously ordering and with auto-checkout). The previous payment and order process was much slower and could take around a minute to complete.

- able to add notes- fast ordering process- clear navigation- visually appealing site with UX for the most part good- can book time slots- sends message when ready for collection- communicates to me throughout delivery process- immediate refund if Fiara can’t accept order- buy now pay later option- can order up to 7 days in advance

Cons:

Opening times are confusing for customers as they are displayed as 24 hours a day, which are actually the times customers can place an order and not the actual business opening times. This results in customers calling the business at all hours of day/night.Delivery tracking sometimes slow to update in real time, as the delivery progresses.

Reasons for choosing StoreKit

There is no commission payable to StoreKit on orders apart from the 2.9% card fee, Flipdish charges 10%+VAT on each order plus the card fee. Deliveroo, UBerEats and Just EAT all charge 30%+VAT on orders and you have zero control over your customer data or service. StoreKit provides total control to the restaurant.

Reasons for switching to StoreKit

WIX didn't allow for an API to be integrated so that I could connect to a third party delivery company. StoreKit has this facility.

First two nights done

I’ve been really impressed so far. I only wish it had the ability to offer a simple pos till system because I run square on our van, Storekit at our prep kitchen and WhatsApp for business on the van for preorders. Ideally, I’d do away with square and WhatsApp and have Storekit on the van but the fact that it cannot take walk up payments is disappointing.

I thought the software was very simple to adapt, such as changing the menu, adding pictures. Also, absolutely loads of different ways to manage pre ordering slots.

Cons:

Would be better that if a customer makes an error, we can switch the slot vs just refunding the customer. Equally, it would be good to have the ability to see which of the orders coming up are in a similar geographical location to make routing better for the environment and maximise driver deliveries.

Storekit has a very clear and intuitive interface, is very easy to set up, really catered to the needs of small food businesses, and has a fantastic technical support team.

Cons:

I wish the interface could allow a higher degree of customisation (colour palette, cover image, etc.)The fee is a bit high, but considering the good tech support it is ok.

Very easy to use. Once we were set up I have found it easy to manage myself

Cons:

Integration with Nash. Not being able to use live time from when the customer has placed the order causes us problems also there drivers take 18 mins to show up
