Pros:
Easy to design website, clients can book their appointments and cancel with ease. Sends waivers and instructions and reminders to all clients
Cons:
The price is a little high but overall not too bad. It’s worth the money for all the features you get.

Who’s Better for My Business Than Gloss Genius? No One!

My overall experience with Gloss Genius has been nothing short of amazing. The platform is incredibly user-friendly and packed with features that make running my business so much easier. From scheduling and client management to payments and reporting, there’s truly nothing this software can’t do. I especially love that it integrates Google reviews, which helps boost my online presence, and offers Buy Now, Pay Later options for clients, making my services more accessible. It’s an all-in-one solution that has completely streamlined my workflow, and I couldn’t be happier with it.

What I absolutely love about this software is how simple it is for my clients to book! They don’t have to download an app or set up a profile—just log in, book, and they’re good to go. It’s super convenient, fast, and totally user-friendly!
Cons:
Before Gloss Genius, I didn’t have a way to track my time or pay myself efficiently—but now I do, and I absolutely love it! Their new features have made managing my business so much easier.

Very satisfied with everything Gloss has to offer. One of my favorite features it the profit and expenses tracking.
Cons:
I don’t really have anything that I dislike with GlossGenius. It has so many different features and opportunities to upgrade.

There are better options for your business

My overall experience with GlossGenius is that for a lower-cost system, it's okay. They are continuously raising the prices and making different tiers, which is normal, but they are trying to add too much too quickly. The system cannot keep up with it. They do not follow up with their members to see what they like and what they don't like. The lower cost was no longer worth the headache that GlossGenius created for my business.

What I liked most about GlossGenius is that when I first started using it, it was really aesthetically pleasing. It was one of the lower-cost options, and at that point it was important to me that it was extremely affordable.
Cons:
What I didn't like about GlossGenius is that the system was always "down". There were a lot of times that I couldn’t get in to see what clients I had for the day, or I couldn’t find their color formula because I couldn’t even log into the system. Every time they make an update, it seems to throw everything off. They were constantly changing the aesthetics of it.

Good starter booking platform for solo business but not for scaling

Overall I find GlossGenius to be a good option for a small solo business, perhaps hair or massage. For a larger spa I found there to be lots of features lacking. The platform also heavily focuses on mobile app features instead of desktop version.

I liked that the platform was easy to use and they are always bringing on new features that users request. I also liked that it was easy for a client to schedule an appointment using the online booking system. For how many features are offered, I do believe you get great value for the money.
Cons:
I wish the client facing website was more customizable. Everything is a preset template but it can be difficult to make it match your own branding. It would be nice to be able to have an option offer a website widget instead of a separate booking page since the domain isn't customizable. I did find the platform to be quite glitchy and didn't find it to be as robust for a growing business. The reports section were a joke.

I switched because I wanted to be able to keep a card on file and require deposits when booking an appointment which square did not have an easy option to do that.

Very user friendly, easy to schedule appointments, and very affordable. Free website where clients can schedule and manage their own appointments.
Cons:
The website and app on rare occasions has crashed and clients aren’t able to book appointments and I am unable to take payments.

That it’s so user friendly and affordable. All payments and processing are convenient and secure. Other than last fall I’ve had no bugs, issues, or crashes. Scheduling is a breeze and online booking is very simple for clients to navigate.
Cons:
That I can’t create add on’s without adding time to services. At least not easily. IE if I want to charge for extra length I have to manually add it during checkout as opposed to adding it under services

Gloss Genius is the easiest software for beauty professional to use in my opinion. No spending weeks trying to smooth everything out, they make the transfer process beyond easy, though mine did take longer that my coworkers, it probably would have taken me 1000x times longer. Clients love that they don't need another password to remember and the reminder texts and emails aren't too much. Just enough reminders. I pay for the Gold service and have really enjoyed the mass text and email option - but don't like that you have to pay for more than 500 texts per month as they transferred all my clients from over ten years and it's a very long process to try and pick out the regulars or pay a big chunk to just send all. Appointment management and online booking and changes are easy on both mine and clients ends. There have been slight bug issues over the past few years but they are always beyond quick to get them fixed ASAP. I do not sell product so cannot comment on inventory personally, but i'm sure it's just as smooth as the rest.
Cons:
My biggest complaint is really more so a bank issue than gloss genius but when the holidays align on Mondays or Tuesdays you won't get a pay out for 4-5 days straight so you have to pay the .10% fee which can be a lot of money if you have a big chunk sitting and need to pay bills.

I appreciate the ease of booking appointments in person and online. The value compared to monthly cost, is an added bonus. I also appreciate the sense of security involved with the program and with support.
Cons:
One thing that is time consuming, is not being able to check out multiple clients at the same time, especially when you have family members together.
