It enables businesses to monitor shipments in real time, share location updates with carriers, communicate and collaborate with shippers and generate performance reports.

Key features of FourKites include appointment scheduling, document management, network visibility, freight tracking, and workflow automation. The solution enables businesses to predict shipment ETAs via weather and traffic analysis, telematics networks, artificial intelligence, and predictive route data management capabilities.

FourKites integrates with third-party solutions from various application providers such as Tive, Alpega, Oracle, SAP, and Princeton TMX. The platform offers mobile applications for Android and iOS devices that lets users locate gas stations and parking spots, receive alerts or notifications on assigned loads, manage payment processes via invoices, Scale Tickets and Lumper.

Pros:

FourKites is an easy software to use truck appointment scheduling. It always all team members to gain visibility of their daily trucks.

Cons:

There is no aspect of this software that I don't like. The only issue we've encountered is user error!

Just another MacroPoint not quite EDI setup

This isn't quite real time tracking - more of an upgrade to EDI to give load updates, without all the hard mapping. We still get update calls and it I dont know how future proof it is when BiTA hard pressing new blockchain advancements in the near future.

Pros:

Its just another tracking software for loads that integrates with our TMS to send out updates to our customer

Cons:

Takes quite a bit of tech knowledge on the TMS side to get this setup. Took about a week of phone calls and collaboration to get it done.
