About Port TMS

Port TMS is a cloud-based solution, which assists businesses in the freight industry with transportation and workflow management. Key features include accounting, document management, shipment tracking, client management and communication.

The Port TMS platform enables users to store communication for each shipment, sign documents electronically, and transmit bill of lading for multiple loads. Freight managers can prepare rate quotations, manage clients, track shipping/receiving locations, generate invoices, and view historical trends to measure performance. Additionally, the system’s integration with QuickBooks allows accountants to manage payments, monitor shipment charges and create customizable reports.

Port TMS comes with an open API, which facilitates integration with third-party ERP systems, helping users manage the shipment life cycle. Pricing is available on request and support is provided via phone, email, and live chat.

Pros:

What I like most about Port TMS is the dozens of integrations we get to utilize to carrier partners, pricing partners, load board partners, and our accounting system.

Cons:

Some workflows/views could be tidied up, but I will say improvements to the workflow have been made on a monthly basis it seems.

We needed a really solid LTL portal alongside our TL portal.

Pros:

i like the ability to track aging details

Cons:

i do not like that the system does not display carrier details i.e. terminal locations, liability and guaranteed options to name a few. i also wish the quote page allowed you to enter the shipper/ receiver name and their zip code would pull up in the quote screen

Pros:

I really loved how easy it was to move around in the system. I also loved how I felt I could hire someone young who has no experience in the logistics world and they could build a load in a matter of 30 mins. I also really liked how flexible the cost and bang I get for my money spent is beyond valuable. Customer service is amazing too. So far everything I have needed help with has been fixed within 2 hours MAX!

Cons:

Still a growing system. So the updates and having to learn what is new with the software is semi a pain but I also enjoy those updates because that means they are making my system better for my company!
