    A helpful tool for teachers

    Remind has been very helpful to me as a teacher during my entire career. Students love it, parents love it, and everyone seems happy with all of the things that it offers.

    Pros:
    As a teacher, communicating with parents and reminding students of information is critical. Remind allows this communication to be secure without exchanging phone numbers. I love how I can schedule messages in advance, and even send a picture, or a video if needed. I like how parents can sign up as a parent so when you send a messages either you can pick parents or students, and I also like how there is an individual messaging option for a student to reach out to their teacher individually. I also like how there are “office hours “you can set so it will tell the student that it is outside of your office hours if they try to contact you at an appropriate time.
    Cons:
    I wish that the word maximum was larger. Right now it is very low, and I have found myself either making a video, or typing out my comment in a note or a message and screenshotting it and sending that instead. I also wish there was a way for group messages to show who has read the message. The individual messaging section does have this, but it would be very helpful if it was in the group section as well.

    Remind - as a teacher I can't live with out it

    Remind has been a great experience. It has made communication with student so easy and helpful. It has also made sending and receiving documents and videos an ease.

    Remind has been the best product to appear for teachers. It allows me to communicate with my students at any time with out giving them my personal information. I can send out reminders about test and quizzes, or communicate with individual students who need to come make up work. I also use Remind to send out instructional videos when doing a flipped classroom or when we are virtual. I can send out any document in a pdf format to instruct, review or for general information. It makes communication with students easier that using email. I can set it up to get instant notifications to my phone or computer.
    Cons:
    My only complaint with this software is that once a phone number is set up, it is very hard to change the information attached to that number.

    Overall, Remind got the job done, it doesn't provide the same connectivity with the student that is available with other apps like Class Dojo, but it's a reliable app for getting school communications.

    I like the communication it provides between teachers and parents. I didn't have any trouble communicating with my child's preschool teacher and group communications were good as well.
    Cons:
    It wasn't as user friendly as some of the other classroom apps. I achieves its main function but some other apps have more "fun ways of communicating"

    Able to enroll parents/guardians/students into specific groups. Then able to message all or specific groups. Also able to attach some documents in messages.
    Cons:
    There is a character limit, which can be a pain at times. Learned to just type up a document, convert to a PDF, then share the file to get around the character limit. Also find issue adding another teacher to groups so they can also message groups.

    I absolutely love this app. the school district uses this app to keep in contact with parents and students outside of school hours just in case theres a homework question or a concern about the student. Definately a faster way of communicating instead of waiting for a teacher meeting.
    Cons:
    The only thing i dont like is some teachers you cant find them thru the search, you have to wait for them to generate a link or send you an invite before you can start communicating with them

    I like that you can have different integrations such as Google Classroom and Drive. Makes it easier when I went to include attachments of documents.
    Cons:
    I don't see too much wrong. The biggest issue is the 140 Character limit. Makes it extremely difficult to send something especially if it's a long message.

    What i like most is that you can see who responded.
    Cons:
    sometimes i dont need to read what other parents are discussing (they forget that its a group chat./lol Not sure if there is an actually option to just message 1 person in group.
