Never Memorize Your Video Script Again!

Overall, I thought that this was really user friendly. I loved being able to practice my scripts and watch the playback immediately. This is definitely worth using.

Pros:

Bigvu allows you to upload a prepared script from your computer and use your phone or tablet as a teleprompter. I love that you have the ability to use both the computer and the app at the same time. You can instantly see the script as you record your video. I love that the script on the teleprompter will stop moving when you pause. This is not only a teleprompter but a video recorder and editor. You can add a watermark of your logo on your video and trim the video. My favorite part is that you can do multiple takes of your script and choose the best version. This is definitely worth the money.

Cons:

You are limited on how much you can edit your videos using the software. You can add lower thirds on the video that show your name or whatever you decide to write and you can add your logo. I wish there was the capability to add videos into templates where you can add different texts or pictures inside of the video. If I am doing an explainer video, I would like to have step 1 pop up, then step 2, and step 3. This software does not have that capability as of yet.

BIGVU is a simplified way to record, edit and share videos on social media. The menu tab is very easy to work with 3 options to work with. The Read only option is where I get to try out my script using the teleprompter which makes it easy to record without errors. The Read and record is for recording the video into the BIGVU. It works perfectly with external mics for better quality sound and the videos can be accessed across the phone and computer platform since all records are uploaded and available in the BIGVU cloud. Much of editing can be done on both platforms adequately with no problem. BIGVU is very good for sharing videos across almost all social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram etc. with their various video dimensions/layout requirements. I have used Adobe premiere Rush for social media video recording and it has been ok. However, BIGVU seems intentionally designed with social media in mind and thus has become my to go for this purpose.

Cons:

It is not cheap and the free version comes with BIGVU watermark for their marketing purposes. If one doesn’t mind it, then it is a versatile tool to consider.

Good video editing all

Overall pretty good. It does what it says it’ll do and has a lot of useful features but it was just too expensive for me.

The teleprompter function was really helpful as it means I can record more content at once without having to worry about remembering all my lines. The video editing was pretty good as well.

Cons:

I found it a bit too expensive for my needs and needed a cheaper option. I’m mainly creating content for my business and can’t really justify the cost for the amount I was using it.

Broken, buggy features and unhelpful support

The concept is fantastic. But it's buggy. Some of the bugs can be worked around (Web app doesn't work in Chrome, use another browser, for example.) I have no problem with the workarounds. The frustrating part is they allow you to find the bugs, wasting your time, then tell you about them. "Yes, that's a known bug" is a common response. Why not be open about it and let me know before I waste my time? Why not have a list of known bugs in the documentation? Some of the bugs can't be worked around. I'm trying to create a 15-minute walkthrough video. As the web app's broken and can't record more than 10 minutes, they want me to record two videos and stitch them together. It's a to-camera recording. Stitching it together's not going to work. The support team respond quickly, which is great. But they aren't helpful, which is frustrating. There's no sense of understanding that the software's buggy and that all I want to do is create videos. It's very much a case of "Yes, we know it's buggy, but that's your problem."

The ability to record videos with their teleprompter is great. Uploading and editing scripts is easy, as well as sending them to a mobile is dead easy. The support response is fast, and that's great as I'm in close contact with them trying to understand what's working and what isn't.

Cons:

Everything seems to break when trying to record videos. The say to use Chrome, but Chrome currently causes a problem with the camera connection. Does their support documentation tell you this? No. So I wasted time trying to resolve it. It's only after you have a problem they let you know it. My account has the ability to record 59 minute videos. I know because I checked with support before I recorded. Turns out it's a 10 minute limit when using the web app. But does the documentation tell you that? No. Does the web app warn you? No. It allows you to record a long video, then says, "You've exceeded the file size." Did support tell me when I asked how long I could record for? No. After realizing I couldn't upload the file, I asked support if the file is stored locally so I can edit it somewhere else... no response from support so I assume the work's lost.

Level up your video interviews instantly

Integrating the ability to provide and then read the script during filming lowers the hurdle of collaborating with anyone contributing to your project. Once someone can use the teleprompter to appear they are not reading from a script, they will see how easy it is to add their personalization to any video projects.

The teleprompter feature is the standout process for me in this video tool. You can prepare your script and read it on your smartphone during filming, then move on to adding subtitles and editing your video all in one tool.

Cons:

There are limitations to customizing the intro and outros that I would like to see expanded. Also a pause/stop option for the teleprompter would be a great addition to this tool.

Pros:

Bigvu reduced the complexity in creating videos. Not only if serves as a great teleprompter but it also adds captions and soundtracks. It is easy to use, supports multiple languages and just works!

Cons:

The user interface is not the best one, specially in the desktop/web. Also, it appears that it requires their server to process the videos and this delays a bit. But nothing that hurts productivity.

This is a great product for creating videos quickly. You can use the app to shoot and style your videos with the use of a teleprompter and automatic captions. You can also add your logo and style to your videos, along with other cool features like emailing or messaging videos on landing pages. The app is easy to use and incredibly affordable for individuals and businesses alike.

Cons:

I had issue with the propter speed but got given a quick support. It's ashame that bluetooth remote control to stop and start prompter is not compatible with android app.
