About Pictory

Pictory is a cloud-based video creation software that automatically converts long-form text and video content into short videos for social sharing using artificial intelligence (AI) technology. The platform offers white-labelling capabilities, which allows users to personalize the videos with custom logos, colours and fonts to establish brand identity.

Pictory enables organizations to add text to videos using audio, edit captions and add transcriptions using automated suggestions. The application automatically creates highlights from webinars and other long videos and lets users schedule automatic posting on various social channels via Hootsuite integration. Other features include bulk uploads, voice-overs, subtitles management and more.

Pictory allows users to export subtitles in SRT or VTT format and download videos as CSV files. Pricing including monthly/annual subscriptions and support is extended via phone, email, FAQs and other online measures.

Powerful AI for Pennies and SUPER Easy to Use

Pictory is part of the overall package of programs I use to create videos. I start with Pictory to get the base slide graphics, animated graphics and on-screen titles. I use HeyGen to create the talking-head spokesman videos. Then I bring everything together using Wondershare Filmora which has really gotten very sophisticated for the low cost. I supplement the presentation with graphics and additional video from Canva. It's a dynamite combination.

Pros:

You just paste your script and it selects the videos and the music. There is a TON of high-quality music and videos to choose from, and it's all included in the program which sells at a very affordable price.

Cons:

It's doesn't create "talking head" videos. By that I mean having an AI-generated spokesperson reading the script. That would be the only thing I would like to see added.

Reasons for choosing Pictory

I still use HeyGen and Canva, but they are supplemental to Pictory. HumanPal was too fake looking, also tried Reals.ai, Yepic and others. I like the speed, wide range of music and top-quality graphics, animations and videos on Pictory.

Reasons for switching to Pictory

Pictory is more affordable month-to-month. It's all about performance and value, and even though D-ID is very good, Pictory and my other programs do just as good a job at a lower price point.

Pictory rapidly becoming a very comprehensive system

Overall its an astounding programme and replaces 95% of the work needed to build videos in Premier Pro ect Currently the only limitations are lack of stills and text animation which I hope you will add at some point - the ability to have text appear during the slide, at key moments would elevate the to a truly professional system. Also the option to add a blur filter between the stock video and the text would again lift this.

Script building and the accuracy of the auto video selection - for the videos I have produce on average 7/10 of the video selected is good.

Cons:

I don't think there are enough British voiced ai voices - I also have struggles with the speed of speech and a general feeling that most lack a sales type presence. Lastly, please make the outline/shadow an option and not the default for headings I also think that it would be more useful if the on screen script and script that the Ai uses could be separate to allow for adding characters to overcome pronunciation

Beware! They are a bunch of thieves!

EVERYTHING! Horrible! I bought a subscription. After I bought a subscription, I cannot log in at all! It keeps saying, "Subscription not found." I tried to contact support and they have NOT been helpful at all. They take your money but don't give you any support. They are happy to take your money but don't provide any support!

Excellent Tool for Creating Professional Videos Easily.

My experience with Pictory has been excellent. The software is easy to use and offers a fantastic range of features that make video production enjoyable and efficient. I was able to produce high-quality videos faster than I expected.

Not pleased so far.

Not being able to download my videos when I want it is actually too bad. It has made my experience very awful. Having to make a video and not sure if it will download immediately is traumatising

Cons:

I’m actually unhappy due to the error message I get when downloading videos sometimes. Currently I’ve not been able to download a video I spent hours working on for the past 48 hours.

Pictory is incredibly easy to use and very user-friendly. The intuitive interface makes video creation smooth and efficient, even for beginners. It simplifies the entire process and saves a lot of time!

Cons:

One small downside is that sometimes finding specific features requires some searching, as they are not always immediately visible. More portugues from portugal (not brazilian) voices will be a plus

Pictory in class

As a teacher at the International College of Business, I use Pictory to explain course content and assessment tasks to my students. I’ve also introduced Pictory to them, and they find it to be an enjoyable and engaging tool for both their class presentations and personal projects.

Pictory has a simple and easy-to-use design. The dashboard is clear, and the tools are easy to find. Even though I’m not a video editing expert, I was able to start making videos quickly without much trouble.

Simple to use and a nice sized library of visuals with a reasonable subscription price.

Cons:

I've noticed some bugs, specifically when you duplicate a video (I do this often because I first make a longer video then duplicate it to trim it and make a short version) you will often lose the the text from the original video and it will change it to the initial text created by AI when you use Article to video. Then have to manually fix the text obviously. otherwise no complaints.
