About Freshping

Freshping is a website monitoring solution that helps businesses streamline processes related to performance tracking, uptime monitoring, outage analysis, and more on a centralized platform. It allows team members to monitor HTTPS, Web Sockets, TCP, DNS, URLs, UDP, and overall website availability across multiple global locations.

Freshping enables staff members to configure alerts to automatically receive performance, downtime, and troubleshooting notifications at specific intervals. Administrators can set up permission rights to restrict specific employees from accessing, sharing, or editing weekly downtime reports. With the outage analysis functionality, employees can gain insights into downtime history, error codes, location checks, and website status.

Freshping allows organizations to integrate the platform with several internal and third-party solutions, such as Slack, Zapier, Twilio, Freshdesk, and Freshservice. It is available for free and on monthly subscriptions and support is extended via FAQs, documentation, email, and other online measures.

A necessary tool for your web apps

I'm using Freshping to monitor the health of two of my web apps. Works flawlessly.

Pros:

Very easy to set up. A great UI as expected from a Freshdesk software. Their free plan is quite generous for most side-projects. Quick notifications regarding the health of your service.

Cons:

Haven't found any glitch or bug in the service yet. Very reliable.

Pros:

This software is incredibly easy to deploy and configure. It literally just took barely 2 minutes and the checks on both my website and blog was up and running. It has some pretty advanced features as well under the configurations sections. Not that robust but a must have for small teams and individuals like me.

Cons:

Not really. I didn't find any notable disadvantages of unsing the software. It's not that robust but it well satisfies my every need.

Better than Uptime Robot!

I genuinely like the bang for my buck with this software! It seems relatively easy to use and offers more features than that of Uptime Robot!

I'm not sure that I found any yet but I will update as needed!

Freshping offered more in the lower priced (and free) tiers than StatusCake offered.

Reasons for switching to Freshping

My use of the status page was being switched to a "Pro" feature thus defeating the purpose of not only providing a resource for myself to monitor the websites "uptime" but also to allow potential visitors to see said "uptime" history as well.

That it can also do a TCP check, not just HTTP/HTTPS.

Cons:

I did not like that I could not find an easy way to change the world region for a bunch of checks at once.

Insping was easy to use and there was a possibility to set up checks on a free plan.

Reasons for switching to Freshping

Pingdom did not offer a free plan.

Functional and simple with good support

Very positive - Support is quick to respond during their advertised hours. They're happy to discuss feature design and roadmap, which definitely helps build confidence in Freshping. Tool is simple to use and offers many features that other companies charge non-insignificant amounts of money for.

It's simple to set up and get started with, and free.

Cons:

It lacks some features that I'd deem extremely important for a monitoring tool, such as the ability to pass custom headers with requests, and see the actual response body of failed requests (though support has confirmed at least the first of those features to be coming in June 2019)

Pros:

This program only has one purpose, its uptime. I like the uptime thing because i can host my discord bot 24/7! And if the site i host makes my bot go down, i am notified just after 1 minutes!

Cons:

Customer Service, i couldnt find it anywhere.

Uptimerobot just monitored how much my bot was down, but my bot gone offline. Thats why i switched.

The free part is good and we can use it to monitor our servers.

Cons:

Missing the Telegram, whatsapp and other stuff notifications to make it better.
