Robust yet simple

I use it a lot to map out complex processes for people and teams that need them explained simply and quickly. It's good for tracking progress on projects but even better for processes.

Pros:

It's robust, aesthetically pleasing, and doesn't have a big learning curve. I particularly like that it has templates as well to get you started.

Cons:

It can be a little slow sometimes but primarily when working with others on the same map. It also could be slightly easier to learn more advanced features.

PP app loves Lucid Chart

We replaced diagrams.co with Lucid chart because of it's greater range of features and team collab was superior. Overall its super helpful for us to build journeys and architecture flows.

Pros:

Lucid has one of the best library of user flow templates it's super easy to use and I also found it to be quite affordable for our organisation

Cons:

I think the initial set up is a bit tedious but other than that all seemed fine. Some controls are a little fiddly and some of the UI is a bit dated.

Cost mostly and also technical skill was lower for Lucid.

Cost but also the export features were better in Lucid and had better integrations

LucidChart is a great tool to have flow charts created easily

I have had a great experience by creating charts, also with support team, who were very helpful to solve integration issues and collaborative board has been a great enhacement

Pros:

It easy usage to create flowcharts and many options it provides. Also collaboration board is a great opportunity to share knowledge with team mates

Cons:

Initially I have faced problems with Quip integration. but after support team intervention it has been solved, and now it works smoothly with Quip

Wonderful to use, but expensive

Lucidchart is undoubtedly the leader in its field. The UI is so well polished that it just feels much more comfortable to use. Unfortunately, this comes at a price, and when deciding upon your software stack, this will end up being one of the more expensive purchases if this is needed.

Pros:

Lucidchart has a diverse array of icons that can be used. The arrows to join sections of a flow together are really intuitive to create and to move. Charts are very easy to share, and very easy to collaborate on.

Cons:

The product is a little bit expensive, given that draw.io has a free version. It is also tricky to export the graphs from this and use them in other projects.

Reasons for switching to Lucidchart

draw.io is much cheaper in comparison. Lucidchart boasts a much more superiror UI though

My Take on Lucidchart: Really Not Bad!

I've been using Lucidchart frequently over the past year, and it's become my go-to diagramming and collaboration tool—far better than other default options we had at work. It's incredibly intuitive, easy to use, and makes sharing with teammates seamless. I started using it on my own, but over time, more and more of my team members opted in as well because of how efficient it made our workflow. Beyond just my team, I’ve seen growing adoption across different departments. Recently, our company signed a corporate contract with Lucidchart, which will make collaboration even smoother. I highly recommend it to any team looking for a reliable, user-friendly platform for visual collaboration and process mapping.

Very user-friendly interface, even for non-designers for project design Easy to collaborate in real-time and share across teams Flexible templates and shape libraries save a ton of time Works well for both technical and non-technical diagrams Monthly cost is as little as a hamburger and a drink

Cons:

Limited features on the free plan. But as mentioned, it's not expensive at all Sometimes the format changes when downloaded as in another design software format

I've used Lucidchart in the past and I enjoy it. I've also used MIRO in the past. They're comparable.

Pros:

The flexibility and ease of use. I appreciate all the easy to use templates, and especially the SFDC ERD import.

Cons:

I don't love the auto-included conditional rules that come in on the templates. I also don't love certain aspects of the ERD importer for SFDC. There should be more flexibility with what we do or don't include on the imported ERD. The tables are also not easy to work with.

Reasons for switching to Lucidchart

Company provided lucidchart. I've used it in the past, and my past company used Miro. I had no issue moving back to Lucid.

Didn't know FlowCharts could be so easy!

Overall experience so far has been one of ease. The team is friendly, the site itself is well organized and has a lot of tools to help you learn and the charts i've been creating are so nice to look at!! So many tools to make them as detailed as you need. No complaints right now.

Pros:

I was struggling to create a flow chart for my business. I didn't know where to start at all and upon finding LucidChart the templates made everything 10x easier. It's easy for me to keep track with everything I'm working on and the support I received from the team was great! They offered to set up a meeting to walk me through the service and everything. A great bang for your buck!

Cons:

I currently don't have anything negative to say. I am a fresh user and for me so far it has been fun and easy to use and so well organized.

Easy to build hypothetical workflows

My overall experience with Lucidchart has been largely positive. It’s a strong, accessible tool for quickly creating and collaborating on diagrams, especially when the goal is clarity and alignment rather than pixel-perfect design. While it can feel constrained for very complex or highly technical diagrams and gets expensive at scale, it does a great job of helping teams communicate visually with minimal friction.

What I liked most about Lucidchart is how easy it makes turning complex ideas into clear, shareable diagrams. The drag-and-drop interface is intuitive, collaboration feels natural in real time, and it’s flexible enough to handle everything from quick flowcharts to more detailed system diagrams. It’s especially useful for aligning teams visually without needing a steep learning curve or specialized design skills.

Cons:

What I liked least about Lucidchart is that it can feel limiting or cluttered as diagrams grow more complex. Performance sometimes slows with larger or more detailed charts, and advanced features or exports are gated behind paid plans. Over time, the interface can feel busy, which makes precision work or very technical diagrams a bit more frustrating than it should be.
