There are no user limits on the software and free support is included in the low monthly subscription. In terms of implementation, each hospice is offered personalized online setup training and weekly training calls at no additional cost.

Great Software!

Ease-of-use

Again, it's very user-friendly and easy to use. Once you get to know the system, the moves become second nature.

Functionality

They automatically update the program to meet the CMS requirements as they change.

Product Quality

I think it's very competitive with the others out there but much easier to use.

Customer Support

The support team is very professional and gives you the feed back you need in a timely fashion.

It is user-friendly and very easy to move around in. The vendor is very helpful in resolving any issue you might incur and give you instruction right then and there.

Social Worker's financial info doesn't carry over to the Comprehensive.

Recommendations

Make sure your software is web-based so you can access it from anywhere and that it is user friendly like HospiceSoft . Do not use iPads with the software; they don't work really well.

Best program that I have worked with! Easy to navigate, easy to learn!

Ease-of-use

If you can drive, you can use this program. They have a red-yellow-green-lock system. Red means you need to address it, yellow means that more stuff in the document needs to be addressed. Look for the red symbol. Green means all is complete and to lock your document.

Functionality

It is wonderful. It gives us everything we need without a lot of other useless features to make things more confusing.

Product Quality

It has yet to go down and have any major issues. Updates are seamless. There's no need to download an update and have it mess up a ton of computers.

Customer Support

It is wonderful. I can either type them an email or call for help.

The software is very user-friendly. I love that it is for hospice only. I love that it is always up to date with all the Medicare requirements. The customer service is excellent. It is great to be able to talk to someone that knows how to run the program, and also be able to to talk to the programmer! The best thing is seeing a suggestion I made on how to improve the program actually being put into the software!

I really can't think of any. In comparison to the other programs that I have used, these guys are by far the best.

Recommendations

Find out how people in the field like it, as well as in the office. It takes up to a year to fully understand all the ins and outs of a program. Spend the time setting it up. Put your local doctors, funeral home, pharmacies, and favorite care plans in it.

Easy Patient Tracking

There seems to be more than one way to document the same information, which can be confusing.

Functionality

This product helps me as the Executive Director to pull compiled patient information through charts and graphs, which is a quick and easy way to obtain statistics.

Product Quality

I believe this program is definitely of good quality because it is current with Medicare and Medicaid regulations, which is huge.

Customer Support

They are very supportive and friendly. They call and offer assistance, support, and training on a regular basis.

Likes Best

The product is easy to learn and makes tracking patient progress easy (e.g., decline, symptoms). The vendor is supportive, friendly, and available.

I haven't found anything that I do not like yet. If I had to find the least likable factor, I'd say that sometimes I get confused about why one piece of information/report should include information from entire chart, but then I find that it only pulls information from a portion of the chart (e.g., the Doctor's Order lists some medications, but not all the medications the patient is currently taking).

Recommendations

Ensure that Medicare and Medicaid regulations are updated and incorporated into the software for best practices.

I feel it is user-friendly. It takes time to learn, but for the most part, it is easy-to-use software.

At the present time, we are continuing to learn, and the transition has not been hard at all. The tracking of timelines are wonderful.

I believe it is awesome because it does not cause complications. It is effective and compliant with Medicare. It has up-to-date reports.

Customer Support

Anytime I have a question, our rep has been prompt to answer, resolve, or point me to right support person. There are no tickets, which is a great thing.

The software is user-friendly and easy to navigate through. The schedule, orders, and plan of care - really, all components of the software - have been easy to work with. The vendor is prompt to assist when need. They are friendly, concerned with my needs, and willing to help.

I would not say I don't like it, but I am having difficulty with Bereavement. I really think it is because I am not using it enough. Small census.

Recommendations

I have used two other software systems before coming to HospiceSoft, and there is no comparing the others. Hospice can be difficult, and when your software is also difficult, it can make for a hard day. We are very pleased with the current software.

The process is just easy. From admit, IDG are so much better, and the notes are detailed.

Functionality

This software currently meets all of our needs. Each discipline is very pleased with their section. Bereavement, on-call events, and editing are simple to use. Scheduling is not difficult and very easy to use.

Once again, I have used other software systems, and I would not recommend them. I have told others about this system.

I have not been disappointed. They resolve any questions in a timely manner.

The software is very easy and user-friendly. Support is great. Regulations are up to date. Before this software, I had to create a lot of documents because the software I was using lacked a lot. It is nice to have all the documents and even more to help us be successful.

I highly recommend this software. I have worked with a couple others and they were really complicated. We had several days of training and still struggled to understand them. The training was not onsite with Hospice Software, yet it has been the easiest.

Hospice Management Suite has been a great benefit to us. As a small hospice we shopped around for a software that would meet our needs and we found just that in HMS.

We really wanted find a software that worked for us and would help us to become more in compliance with the ever changing COP's, yet we were unable to invest huge amounts of time or money to the process. When I came across HMS we knew right away that it could be just what we were looking for to get us away from the old fashioned paper chart, and it was!

We have found Hospice Management Suite to offer user friendly and precise charting capabilities for our IDG team. We also love the fact that we are able to use various methods within the software to generate pt/staff measures which assist us with our QAPI program.

We feel that one of the best features available from HMS is the customer service. They have always been just a phone call or email away to help us out or listen to a suggestion. The people at HMS feel like an extended arm of our hospice team rather than a business located half a country away!

Did I mention that it is web based!!! Awesome!!!

We are a relatively small hospice that has 4 clinicians. We are known for giving our patients a very personal experience during this rough time. Our average census is anywhere from 35-40, expecting to grow this year by 20 percent.

We looked for software because charting on paper created more and more problems everyday. This company is extremely easy to work with. They provided a very comprehensive implementation and training period (they even worked with us on the price). After using this software for the past several months we would never want to go back to paper charting.

Hospice Management Suite also has something called a document center which has been amazing; we can scan and upload and document into our patient record. IDG has been drastically shortened, and we love the time it has saved us. Overall the best part of this software is the people. The Hospice Suite team has exceptional customer support, and actually listen to our feedback on the software. This is a very happy customer.
