About Square Invoices

Square Invoices is a cloud-based invoice and billing management solution that helps businesses streamline processes related to invoice creation, payment tracking, electronic signature capturing, contact management, and more from within a unified platform. It allows staff members to send invoices via SMS, email, or payment links and accept credit cards, ACH, gift cards, and wallet-based payments.

Square Invoices enable team members to send estimates to clients, create contract clauses, edit and reuse digital contracts, and convert estimates into invoices. It allows users to build a customer directory with details, such as name, email address, and phone numbers. It is available for free and on monthly subscriptions.

Overall, absolutely the Invoice app for me. I'm still in business and square is a part of my success.

I was able to integrate square with my company account and my personal account. There has never been another that was able to work this way.

Cons:

Not to often although it did happen. The server would freeze up and be down for 20 minutes. That definitely caused issues

Crucial tool for my small business

Overall crucial solution for my business. I think that especially in tough economic times, you need to do everything possible to help customers pay, giving them as many options as possible. Also crucial for sending invoices with payment links to my foreign customers.

Square is fantastic for small businesses cost wise but also because of how easy it is to use it, also from your phone. Very intuitive and thanks to it I can offer so many more payment options! I use it mostly for my foreign customers and I never had any issues with it.

Cons:

Sometimes I am not sure if I’ve done something correctly but that might just because it is not my main invoice software.

Reasons for choosing Square Invoices

Because it was offering me option without any payment terminal, especially that very soon after I started I could accept payments using my phone. Sumup, at the time, wanted me to buy payment terminal but my services are inline so I hardly ever see customers face to face.

The promises from square and the reputation made downloading and introducing it to my company a no brainer.

Cons:

Customer service is zilch unless you find the hidden "customer code" which I have yet to find. One time i got through on the phone without it just to be told they will call me back, and when they did it waa 3 hours later, and somehow the call went right to voicemail. I invoiced a client and immediately received payment, but although I have a verified bank account attached tonmy square accountnmy "nightly automatic deposit" keeps changing dates every night.

Easy to view everything from metrics to aging in the Dashboard. We can see when a customer views the invoice - set payment terms and downpayments - attach messages and documents to clearly explain parameters of deposits and information the customer needs. Square has very clear reporting capability as well for aging invoices for users functioning with net 30, 60, 90 etc. Tipping can be turned on or off - and there are a lot of payment options and things to tweak. All of the data is very visible

Cons:

Of course there are tiers - I do think that since a processor is receiving a fee - the Invoices Plus functionality would be great to include for everyone.

Reasons for choosing Square Invoices

Because we are using the Square platform for billing, memberships, checkout, etc - as a small company it is quite simply just easier to have a solution that is all in one place - with payroll, reporting, etc.

I absolutely LOVE Square Invoices!!! It makes my business so much easier. Having all of my invoices in one place without all the extra settings of Square is so amazing.

Cons:

I don’t have too much that I don’t like about Square Invoices. Maybe that I don’t understand how to add a discount. Anytime I try to add a discount, it adds it as an item.

It’s just easier to use Square Invoices. Everything I need it right there. Plus it is part of the SquareUp account that use for websites and appointments.

It's worth your time to start using Square Invoices today.

Square invoices is really easy to setup and use. There are plenty of payment options to offer your customers, from your credit and debit card to ACH deposit saving you some money on processing fees. Using templates for different services offered to help streamline your workflow is a favorite of mine.

I love the simpicity and ease of use of Square Invoices. The amount of features that are baked into the invoices is a nice touch giving you a professional feel at a free to minimal price point.

Cons:

The only thing I wish for is slightly more customization (custom colors to flow with branding) to e able to add to my invoices.

Great free program to use for small businesses

Overall we’ve really enjoyed using Square invoicing. It is convenient that they have payment reminder for the customer before, during, or after payment is due. It has been a fairly easy, although simple program, it integrates well with our Quickbooks program as well.

Cons:

I have no cons to speak of when using Square invoices. I've used this services for years and have never had any issues.
