Booksy Biz has been a lifesaver as a new barber and has really helped me build and organize and grow as a barber.

Pros:

Booksy make it easy to put yourself out there as a barber to the general public. If someone is looking for a barber on booksy you will be an option. Great for new or existing barbers. Booksy makes it very easy to organize your day and allows for a coherent days plan. Booksy is very affordable for the value that you get in return. It’s a very easy platform to learn to use and is a very secure system regarding the barber and clients privacy. The app has built in marketing tools, and promotion features to remind your clients about upcoming appointments and to remind the barber about cancellations, etc. The app is very customizable in regards to cancellation fees, text reminders, and more. Booksy is great.

Cons:

The 30% ( $10 minimum ; $100 maximum) boost feature commission. Makes it hard to offer affordable offers to first time clients.

Complicated Setup and Glitchy Features Limit Its Usefulness

My overall experience has been disappointing. While the client-facing side looks polished, the administrative experience is frustrating and inefficient. I spent more time troubleshooting issues, re-entering details, and hunting for settings than actually using it to manage bookings. There are better, smoother scheduling platforms available, and for the time investment required, Booksy Biz didn’t deliver the reliability I needed.

The client-facing interface is clean and easy for customers to use. Booking pages look professional, and automated reminders are a helpful touch. The idea behind the platform (giving service providers a simple way to manage appointments) is fantastic.

Cons:

The backend setup is confusing and far from intuitive. Many of the features feel half-built or glitchy, and customizing services, availability, or pricing often requires too many steps. Customer support is slow to respond, and updates sometimes break features that were previously working. For a platform that’s supposed to simplify scheduling, it often creates more friction than it removes.

The set up was easy and there are a lot of features I haven't used yet but the general ones that it has are very beginner friendly

Cons:

as a hairstylist I do gift some services sometimes and would like the add on of putting a service as gift or free consultations as 0$ instead of having it as a service and placed at $1

Pros:

I can usually get fast answers. However, it starts out automated and I never know when I’ll get a live person.

Cons:

Payments don’t process to your business accounts over weekend. When I first signed up I had a Booksy rep immediately call me to welcome me. After that I could never get a hold of him again.

Coworkers use and recommend it. Coworkers seemed to like Booksy however I have had a few appointments. If I ever go to another barbershop, I will not use Booksy.

Great platform, definitely worth it

My overall experience has been great, I think its worth the money and I love that I can send an automated text for a review and an appointment reminder. I also appreciate being able to set a cancellation policy.

Not as many clients as I thought would come through the platform but overall experience is ok I wish the merchant fess were a bit cheaper also

Ease of scheduling, the array of settings and the fact that you can message clients in regards to their appointments

Cons:

Limited features such as memberships offered to clients don’t have the capability of reoccurring charges for memberships it has to be manually generated. I also do not like the features on the mobile are not available on the computer such as add to calendar.

Easy to use the app. My clients have never complained and I also like feeling valued, had a fun time hanging out at the yacht party

The boost fee gets charged even when you do not check a client out meaning most likely that client did not show

The reason i chose booksy above all the rest of online booking site is because of how easy it is to manage and customize.

Cons:

That it doesn’t have a bio page where you can introduce yourself to clients. Also customize time slots for different clients some clients take longer then other so i would like to be able to change the amount of time.
