About Pluralsight Cloud+

A Cloud Guru (ACG) is a learning management platform designed to help organizations track candidates' skills and create learning journeys to train employees across various cloud technologies. Features include certification tracking, single sign-on (SSO), offline access, study group management, reporting and video transcripts and captions.

Trainers can design custom courses and allow team members to participate in quizzes and practice exams. Supervisors can add new users and examine employee’s performance via the dashboard. It provides users with objective-based scenarios to facilitate skill development and allows discussions through community forums on a centralized platform.

A Cloud Guru offers integration with third-party learning management systems such as EdCast and Degreed. It comes with mobile applications for iOS and Android. The solution is available on monthly subscriptions and support is extended via documentation and email.

The Guru of cloud learning

When working in a Cloud company, we have to be up-to-date with our skills all the time, show that we are technically capable of solving problems and that there is no one better than us. A Cloud Guru has really been a Guru who accompanies us on this path of generating trust in our clients.

Pros:

A Cloud Guru works as a guide that accompanies your path towards certifications. It has an infinity of lessons (+ 14k!) Focused especially on Cloud Computing, either for AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, among others. They are the ideal accompaniment to arrive at the exam confident and calm, because thanks to the Labs and Playgrounds it allows you to practice everything you need until you feel really ready. The teachers are very clear when explaining.

Cons:

Everything has a price. A Cloud Guru is not free (but it has a free trial) and the prices are per learner, they do not have a plan for companies that allows them to lower costs by creating more users to, for example, help their team of collaborators to become certified.

A Cloud Guru helped me successfully prepare for AWS Certifications

Overall I have a great experience with a Cloud Guru. I will very likely renew my subscription so I can focus on some more learnings.

Good value for the money. I bought a one year subscription to use to prepare for my AWS exams by taking relevant classes. Gave me access to all the classes needed.

Cons:

Some of the classes are a bit long and I think they could try to break them up to reduce the time requirement some.

I felt like A Cloud Guru had better and more relevant course materials.

Expensive and not up to date anymore

The overall experience has not been positive. I had to pay a large sum for signing up for the platform and eventually ended up failing few exams for which I had bought the subscription for. I also feel that the support leaves a lot to be desired.

The A cloud guru platform peaked between 2015-2018 when AWS certifications were really easy and every certification did not rely on scenario based questions. The platform has really not been updated well and it has lost its sheen in comparison to other more detailed and organized instructors like[SENSITIVE CONTENT],[SENSITIVE CONTENT] and[SENSITIVE CONTENT]. The only USP going for this platform now is its name based on its popularity in the past.

Cons:

There are many issues with the the A cloud guru platform but the major ones are how expensive it is as well as how some of the courses as well as exams have not been updated for quite sometime. I believe A cloud guru buying linux academy took some of the best instructors away from linux academy platform. I am not sure how it will work out now that PluralSight has taken it over. We all can just wait and see.

The No 1 Learning Platform For All Things Cloud

In the beginning, I didn't like the fact that Linux Academy was being merged with A Cloud Guru. We were more interested in Linux courses and materials but ACG proved that it is an amazing multi-dimensional school and has since been the best learning platform not only in Linux and Cloud, but also numerous other topics.

ACG's introduction of the Playground and live sandboxes was so exciting and beneficial to students and put ACG far ahead of all the other competitors in the market.

Cons:

We started with Linux Academy and it was acquired by ACG; While it was great news, we had to go through a timely transition process. Now that ACG has been acquired by Pluralsight, I really hope that we will not have to go through the same long process again.

Pros:

Hands on labs were a standout and allowed me to trial some cloud based solutions I haven't before. Video courses are engaging and easy to understand presenter.

Cons:

It was targeted more for beginner to low intermediate i felt so I quickly hit a plateau at what I could use A Cloud Guru for my own study goals.

Easy learn

Great experience!! Easy to navigate UI with options of login thru 3rd party providers like google, fb etc. Course content are really exam focused with lots of hands on labs & exam tips. Would appreciate if the prices for subscription goes down especially pro plus which enables the cloud play environ

The best way to get certified on AWS

I am currently studying from the platform to take the AWS Solution Architect Associate certification and the level of granularity it has to explain features of services such as S3 for example is incredible.

It is very intuitive, the explanations are truly complete and reliable. It is certainly much easier to obtain the certifications studying from this platform.

Cons:

Perhaps a better support in other languages of the aws courses could be a point to improve.
