A real MMS (Maintenance Managment System) for every day use

    4

It has helped me move some what to the proactive side using eMaint MMS because now I have a clear view of all the scheduled work orders coming up, equipment history and tech time all in one place. Because of our ability to pull up the equipment history and tech performance with no effort, downtime has been reduced greatly as we have been able to make informed decisions on when it is time to replace or repair our equipment properly instead of guessing.

    Pros:
Every day I utilize eMaint MMS to create new work orders and assign them to technicians and to perform and record all routine preventative maintenance. I also appreciate the ease of creating and setting up an eMaint MMS and training my staff on its use; little or no hand holding is required.
    Cons:
I do struggle with flexibility in reporting, as I want things to be a little more easier and more granular without spending too much time on it. I am okay with performing all the functions that are possible in MMS, using the mobile app but as power user there are many times i feel, functionality is limited when it comes to managing each and everything of MMS from mobile.

    Review of eMaint

    4

eMaint is a very good tool, with lots of opportunities. It can be quite daunting with all the new features that appear, but am glad that eMaint is proactively updating the system. Would appreciate more examples of coding custom expressions and giving examples. For example, some easy things that are done in excel, are a bit tricky to make happen in eMaint. An example would be a scoring table based on an answer in a reference table.

    Cons:
-Single Workorder multiple asset setup needs alot of improvement. -Assets don't import per excel sheet, causing the structure to be skewed in Asset Trees -If customer support chat cannot help solve, it can take quite a while to get feedback. It is an amazing tool for CMMS

    5

Since the system now keeps track of who completed what work and no longer relies on people making guesses based on rumors, people are actually completing their tasks again. Since we are no longer printing on paper, I don’t have to search for lost sheets buried under layers of grease. This is better than the way we previously had things, where everything was a mess in a binder. It does help with the scheduling so I know what I have pending for the week.

The API integration allows me to integrate the CMMs into the ERP systems without having to contact technical support all the time for help. My coffee has turned ice cold because I have spent the last six hours staring at this screen. I can pull up the asset information by scanning a QR code from the pump. Now I don’t have to type in that information.
    Cons:
The Looker language used for analytics is really frustrating to learn. At times the shop computer takes forever to pull up the pages I need to access and I’m just stuck there staring at the screen. The first line moves when I scroll down and it drives me insane because I lose my place in the table and forget what column I was viewing.

It works well for keeping track of all of our equipment

    4

We were able to get rid of the messy paper records that used to go missing in the shop and/or be smudged with grease. Scanning a QR code and seeing the history of the item is decent and it prevents me from having to dig through old Excel files that no one had ever updated. It does handle the large inventory of equipment we have without shutting down daily like the previous software did. The spare parts tracking allows me to not run all the way to the warehouse looking for bolts to only find out they are out of stock.

This coffee is cooling down while I write this and I like how it has a dark mode, that’s nice for my eyes since I am sitting at this desk. I was impressed by how quickly the photos attached to emails were uploaded, I did not expect that and it did not freeze the entire system up. It shows the task list so the guys will know what to do and it’s organized enough most of the time. That the SAP integration did not blow everything up was a huge relief to me as I thought the whole system would crash.
    Cons:
What I hate is that I have to sign back into the site every few minutes because the session ends while I’m walking around the shop (floor). The iPhone application takes forever to load the work orders. Why can’t you make edits to an asset after the order is opened? I have to close out the order and start over because the person who opened it selected the wrong pump and now the asset record is incorrect.

We can add pictures to the work orders which is convenient. Dark Mode does not hurt my eyes as much as the old method used to. It is connected to SAP and it has not gone down once today. The Maintenance Plans are also displayed in a calendar format fairly easily.
    Cons:
The mobile application is very slow syncing when I am out in the back of the plant and the WiFi is bad. I dislike it when you cannot change the asset on a work order after it has been created because then I have to completely cancel everything and start from scratch because someone hit the wrong pump. It logs me out about five times a day.
