FAMIS by Accruent is a robust facilities and maintenance management system that was developed specifically for the higher education and public sector industries. Automate the entire work lifecycle process and better manage building, utilities and assets.

Since FAMIS was designed for universities and the public sector, it’s equipped with unique features that cater distinctly to those operations. Its self-service interface gives users direct control over where requests are routed and tracked. Users will improve visibility into their campus or space, automate workflows to reduce errors, schedule preventive maintenance, optimize and manage inventory controls, and track utility consumption. Its Asset Management functionality helps you oversee the stages of your assets from planning and inception, throughout their deployment and into retirement.

FAMIS offers standalone maintenance management and a full suite of integrated applications like asset management, inventory management, move management, capital program management and lease administration. As a Web-based system, it can be accessed from any mobile device, tablet or computer with a secure Internet connection.

FAMIS’s client base includes 30 percent of the Top 50 universities in the nation. The solution is well-suited for maintenance and facility managers operating universities with an upwards of 2,000 students, but FAMIS can be scaled to the fit the needs of any high education or public sector organization.

It is simple and user-friendly, It`s a to the point application that focusses around your needs to create structure in your business to spend more time on the stuff that makes your auditor smile!

Cons

Take any of the training when it is available as it helps a lot.

Pros

The best part is that it is accessible at any time or any place from any computer or mobile device.

Cons

It can be pricey the more people added to the access. And the upgrades are costly and difficult to do.

Very easy to use. I've used many other tools and some could be buggie. Not the case with Accruent. I loved it!

Cons

Overall, I didn't love the display/homepage. If it's something they can improved, this tool would be even better.

Great connection, easy to use and setup considering with our company of over 100 locations. Like the controls and what we can do with our team to make services easier for our field department

Likes Least

Some of the upgrades are expensive. Follow up calls involve too much when you know the path you're going down.

Recommendations

Find out what fits for your organization. We had to evaluate 3 different vendors before settling on one. Don't make the mistake of finding the first one then going all in. Invest the time to get it right.
