A fast and practical extension for downloading data

One of the best data collection extensions. I learned a lot about the extension from the forums. You can download many data by browsing through the pages without writing code. Text, link, image etc. It's completely free.

Cons:

The information in the file I downloaded is mixed. There are shifts in the columns.

A powerful yet demanding scraping tool

A rather demanding tool, Web Scraper is not for the faint-hearted! Among the no-code folks, it's a safe bet to say that only the rather tech-savvy tier will be able to find their way in this tool, but it's definitely worth the effort. The learning curve may seem intimidating at first and the results are sometimes less spectacular than expected, but it's a readily available tool that can save the day when other no-code tools just won't work.

Pros:

Web Scraper is very thorough and will help you get out of many an awkward situation. When your target site is too exotic for PhantomBuster and you can't be bothered to set up properly the sometimes-labytinthine Octoparse, this tool will help you out! It integrates easily within Google Chrome's developer tools. Also, you get a choice of csv of xlsx format files to save your data.

Cons:

For a no code tool, Web Scraper is rather demanding and you'll have to face a learning curve before you can get proper results out of it. The absence of a proper graphical interface for the scraped data tree may seem intimidating at first, but you soon find your way. Also, sometimes (especially with poorly-made websites and directories) you may have a hard time getting already discriminated data. Oh, and don't forget to save your data immediately after it was scraped: one more scraping afterward and it's lost forever!

A decent option for web scraping / data extraction from websites. It's relatively easy to use; those without deep knowledge in this area can still set up and execute tasks. The scheduling options are also a big bonus here.

Cons:

There are some specific problems with more complex websites, or websites that differ significantly in structure. This can cause issues, but can ultimately be worked around as long as the setup is done correctly - but this obviously adds time to the overall process.

I dati salvati, inoltre, sono usati a fini statistici e per migliorare il modello su citato. Con Web Scraper posso semplicemente identificare il contenuto dell’annuncio, il prodotto venduto ed il suo prezzo, e per esempio, rilevare oggetti molto costosi venduti ad un prezzo sospettosamente basso.

Web Scraper è un estensione web semplice da installare, in grado di navigare, in autonomia, tra pagine web multiple scritte in AJAX o JavaScript. L’estensione è in grado di estrarre informazioni anche da pagine che si caricano dinamicamente e può salvare le informazioni di interesse in file, di vario tipo, che è possibile utilizzare per analisi specifiche. La configurazione dei selettori CSS nel sitemap per avviare il processo di scraping risulta molto agevole.

Cons:

L’aspetto da migliorare del software è legato al blocco che lo stesso incontra in caso di errore. Nel momento in cui non riesce ad estrarre informazioni da una determinata pagina si blocca e non prosegue con i task che gli erano stati indicati. Sarà e opportuno superare questo scoglio, consentendo all’estensione di completare il lavoro anche in presenza di errori.

Me resultó siempre muy fácil de escrapear el contenido de guias de viaje. En mi caso lo utilizaba para crear contenidos de viajes de golf, y extraer algunos detalles e imágenes.

Cons:

La dejé de utilizar, porque fallaba en mi ordenador, y no sincronizaba todo. Posiblemente era un error mio de no saber utilizarla bien, porque es potente y asequible.
