Pros:
I like how with ManageEngine Applications Manager I am getting insights into the applications availability and performance. With the help of dashboards, I am able to view the status of all important applications at a glimpse and this makes it easier for me to predict possible troubles before they turn into mishaps.
Cons:
I did experience some difficulties when it comes to configuration of the alert. Sometimes it is not as convenient as I would like it and there are moments when I cannot get quite precise alerts for certain circumstances, thus getting unnecessary notifications.

Applications Manager has proved to be a valuable application health checker within our environment. I use it on a daily basis to track transactions that may have been processed slowly as well as the CPU utilization and background process downtimes.

Pros:
In my case one feature that appealed to me was the ability to do multi-tier monitoring of applications built using .NET and MySQL-based services. I could easily find slow transactions from the front-end till the database level without moving between the tools.
Cons:
During the process of adding cloud resources dynamically I found that discovery tool does not always detect AWS instances unless the credentials are rerun.

Cons:
The reporting module still lacks some well-defined filtering criteria to narrow the range of results and exclude unnecessary data, especially when the user wants to obtain a particular report without entering additional parameters and exporting the dataset to other tools.

Cons:
At some time the system may take some time to update some screens, for example the dashboard may take some time to refresh during peak usage. If the latency is short it can hamper decision-making whenever decisions are most urgent.

Pros:
I had a favorable impression on Applications Manager since it provides information on the activities of app server and database server on real-time basis. For example, I could identify slow queries and JVM memory problems before they become a concern to other users.
Cons:
I encountered a problem when monitoring those applications in terms of the use of their scripting component. The polling of data could not be made fine-grained and this averted the availability of metrics during busy times.
