Good, but not Great

My overall experience with GoDaddy Website Builder was a bit weird. I am Canadian, but was residing in Mexico when I was creating my website. This caused my website and emails to all be in Spanish. I reached out to GoDaddy and it was only partially fixed...to this day, I still get GoDaddy emails in Spanish. I found the building the website overall simple and enjoyed the various templates, finding it quite user friendly. However paying for the website to be up was costly for my start-up and there wasn't a way to tranfer my design to a free program elsewhere.

Excellent product but has little design freedom and the chat doesn't work well

If they could allow more design freedom and fix the chat situation it would be a top-notch product. So I would say they are close to a 5-star product. Just needs a little tweaking!

Pros:

I like the price and the quality of the finished products. The websites look amazing when finished. I get a lot of compliments!

Cons:

I wish the website design program allowed more creativity from the user. It is very limiting in choices of website designs. Being a designer and photographer who does photo manipulation, I prefer to have more free reign concerning my design choices. I find it very constrictive design-wise. Also, the chat doesn't work very well. It often fails to send me messages from my customers and it is a bear to set up from the git go!

Reasons for switching to GoDaddy Website Builder

I found Wix to be a little pricy but it was a little more designer friendly.

Pros:

One can have a website up and running in record without having the need for any technical or coding skills . Using templates and themes you can customise your site to what you need including adding e-commerce functions

Cons:

customising preselected templates and themes means that you do not have the versatility of being able to fully personalise your site as you can do on the other website builders that require a bit more technical coding skills which you build from the ground up

Cost Benefit -Where to GoDaddy

I had used it for first few years then moved to Wix mainly due to high cost of custom design. Renewals were more expensive.

It was early vendor in the market with national presence. It had free domain registration and hosting options.

Cons:

It’s cost for getting something done was too high. AI features were not enabled at that time causing trouble with making the webpages attractive.

We love GoDaddy website builder! The drag and drop features make it so easy. We use it for our church and I have set it up for many other churches as well. It is so easy to explain to others how to use it. And their customer service is the BEST in the business, 24/7 fast customer service that is US based! Friendliest customer service representatives by far, they've helped us immensely.

Cons:

The website builder isn't as customizable as I'd like. I would love to have some features in our website that aren't available within GoDaddy because their feature set is limited.

Go daddy go!

Really great i was able to set up site and sell merchandise right of the site in under two hours . The ai automates descriptions of products and makes it all a breeze.

Go With Godaddy!

I have used GoDaddy for over 9 years for myself and author clients who needed a website. It's a great platform that I trust because it has been online as a website builder for over 20 years.

Pros:

I use GoDaddy to purchase my domain names. It's safe and I have the ability to use them or park the names that are similar to my domain name. It's a safe place to organize them as well. GoDaddy offers a good website platform with Cpanel, which I like. I have used it to help clients create beautiful websites.

Cons:

When the domain name system is updated it can be difficult to find some of the functions such as where to find the name servers to make changes. However, this is a small problem that would not keep me from giving GoDaddy 5 stars.

GoDaddy is more dependable and clear about bandwidth limits. It is a safe place to park domain names and host a website because it is a long-standing platform. I have lost a domain name and website when a website host went out of business, so I am cautious.
