It is a great resource management tool, with a user-friendly interface, It has a lot of powerful tools and is easy to learn and use. A big positive of this software is its capability to easily integrate with other tools. It helps to easily and remotely track and manage modules, projects and even workflows.

Cons:

A few times, connectivity issues are being encountered while remote access. Also, customer support can be enhanced. Otherwise, it is a good tool to use.

It has been very, very, very helpful with my business. We use it on a daily basis - multiple times a day. We are constantly updating our knowledge base and Guru has made this so easy.

Pros:

Guru is amazing. The amount of knowledge you can pour into it and organize is insane. It is so easy to use. It is also so easy to collaborate on knowledge base cards with team members. We have yet to run into any bugs or issues. The customization is key here, because you can set it up however you want. Very helpful.

Cons:

Support does not always get back to us in a very timely manner, but when they do, they are awesome at it.

Reasons for switching to Resource Guru

Microsoft OneNote only has so many capabilities. Guru far surpasses this.

Resource Guru is super simple to use and has a modern clean look. It makes team collaboration easy, and through user access permissions ensures that only users that should update schedules can. The customer support team are really quick to help when needed and can't ask for more for the price.

Cons:

There is nothing that I dislike about Resource Guru, it provides all the functionality I need in an easy to use interface.

The graphics and visual interface. It is very easy to manage resources availability and billability rates, also quite like how easy it is to book and re-book events.

Reports on projects (how many hours sold versus booked)

Excel was getting to heavy and hard to manage; also very prone to human error

Easy and efficient resource allocation

Easy to use with a splendid overview. The team managers are adapting to it well, so having two layers of management and the ability to track all layers is perfect.

Pros:

I like that it doesn't try to be anything else than resource allocation, and that it does this very well. In a department with 25 people plus some 'machines', we manage to keep track on our activities very well, and distribute the load in time and across the resources as needed.

Cons:

I find it very intuitive, both for the user who can view the bookings, and for the manager who tries to keep track on everything. As stated above, many tools try to embrace project management, time registration, etc. - but we are really interested in the resource allocation only. If I should mention anything, it would be the request for slightly more flexible reporting options. However, the people behind Resource Guru are very responsive, so they will probably fix it before I am done with the review.

Wrike was too complex, so that we didn't use the full benefits of combined resource allocation, project management and time registration

Excellent Product for Multiple Staff and Multiple Projects

The tool and support has been a great experience. I have recommended this tool to all my colleagues inside my organization and outside. I have been using it for 11 months now and it has been working extremely well.

The app is very user friendly and a majority of my staff are able to login and run Resource Guru without any issues. It is a streamline software for project management across multiple projects and departments.

Cons:

They actually just added what my con would be. The Milestone tool helps better manage project milestones. This is a tool that didn't exist before but was desperately needed. Thank you!
