About Talos ATS

Talos is a cloud-based applicant tracking system that helps businesses invite candidates, manage interviews and onboard employees. The platform enables organizations to create personalized career pages and post job vacancies across multiple job boards including Google Jobs, Indeed Adzuna, Glassdoor and more.

Talos allows enterprises to design custom application forms using the built-in form builder and handle interviews, assessments, scoring, review and hiring operations. It offers a host of features such as video interviews, social marketing, custom workflows and templates, talent pool, GDPR compliance, geo-targeting, data import/export and more. Additionally, the dashboard lets managers gain insights into applicants, pending or shortlisted candidates, job sources and other metrics via reports.

Talos’ onboarding management functionality allows organizations to provide handbooks, share and validate contracts, check references, and handle payroll processes. Pricing details are available on request and support is provided via phone, email and other online measures.

Pros:

The Talos ATS is great and has lots of really useful functionality, but most ATSs will do the same thing. What really sets them apart is their customer service. The team are fantastic, at every level. They understand the challenges we face and go above and beyond to help us solve them. They speak our language and are always on hand to offer support and guidance, often working with our other suppliers to help get the results we need.

Cons:

There are better ATSs on the market - but it really depends on what you need and how you're going to use the system. For a business of our size and structure, Talos is the perfect tool to meet our needs now and in the future.

Great ATS!

Since implementing 3+ years ago TALOS has had an instant impact and helped us make a large volume of hires, as well as the ability to reduce agency fees. The ability to customise and tailor all the stages, communications and candidate experience as we have grown and adapted as a company has been amazing, and everyone is really helpful and friendly.

Pros:

It super easy to get going and made an instant impact, finding all levels of candidate throughout the UK. The recent updates around admin/settings have made it very easy to customise the whole recruitment lifecycle and remove admin with Outlook integrations/interview scheduling

Cons:

There is a lot of reporting available but can be a little slow to process, with only a PDF/CSV download available but understand updates are coming to this later in 2025

Disappointing and costly.

Very disappointing. Appreciate it wasn't set up properly to start with (way before our time), but one hoped that by working with the company we could improve the setup and get it up to what we were paying for. After 2 years we literally had to give up and switch to another supplier (whereby we got 10 x the product features for half the cost).

Pros:

I believe when set up correctly, Talos may be middle of the road and usable as an ATS software. One of the few features we managed to get implemented by them was the ability to edit our homepage for recruitment. A nice tough based on templates. Not massively customisable but adequate.

Cons:

We inherited a poor implementation from the previous team, so not the best start. What was most disappointing was the vast cost we were paying, for little product. Compounding this, the team were not very helpful or swift in enhancing the product, or indeed working with us to get what we paid for.

Very user friendly. Easty to customise for different users depending on individual needs

Cons:

Some more reporting options would be good. For example, if I pull applicant/role data, I can only see how many candidates have applied in total once the role is closed and candidates rejected, but I cannot see how many interviews were booked, how many were shortlisted etc throughout the course of the role process.

Reasons for switching to Talos ATS

Networx was complicated to use and took over 20 mins to post a vacancy which was far too long for our needs.

Top notch system, Cant fault.

Cant fault it. Been using Talos since day dot in my recruitment journey and have been a big fan. Much more considering when speakign to other recruiters and their horror stories of other ATS systems. Everyone who I have conversations are always genuine and helpful and there is never anything out of reach for them in order to be able to help us.

Pros:

Talos is effective and simple to use when you know what you are looking for. There are great elemens in terms of interview standards and the process becomes much more simplistic when the system you are using has effective tracking across the journey.

Cons:

if i had to choose i would probably say in some ways the user interface could be a little more friendly however thats only because i am a little blind and would prefer it to be a little clearer. sometimes the screen can become a little crowded when looking at a vacancy with alot of applications in there.,

Great System!

Overall the system is really good. User friendly, easy to move candiates through to offer and onboarding and easy to see the history of previous applications.

Talos is great, and saves so much time!

Since adopting Talos our recruitment process has been streamlined and made much more efficient. I can't imagine going back to the old system of emails and spreadsheets. I love it!

How much time it saves me!!! Issuing interview invitations, rejection letters, asking for information, setting up meetings, sharing applications. All with a few clicks, its such a boon. And the customer service if fabulous!

Cons:

No "waiting room" for video interviews - this causes a little confusion when setting up. A lot of candidates like to come online early to check the system is working,

Better after a shaky start

The system was quite clunky at first, especially with invoicing and the initial setup. However, it has improved over time and is now much more user-friendly and efficient.

Cons:

There’s a lot to learn around the system, making it time-consuming and frustrating for new users to get up to speed.
