About ConnectWise PSA

ConnectWise PSA (formerly ConnectWise Manage) is a managed service provider (MSP) solution that caters to businesses of all sizes across various industries such as marketing and advertising, finance, sales, hospitality and more. Key features include backup management, patch management, project management, invoicing, a built-in dashboard and scheduling.

ConnectWise PSA helps users manage customer service agreements, automate recurring invoices and document agreements in a central storage location. The solution also enables users to keep track of their clients’ infrastructure via parameters such as configurations, serial numbers, warranties and more.

Additionally, ConnectWise allows users to identify and resolve issues remotely and supports integration with various third-party applications such as Acronis, Cisco, Webroot and more. The solution can either be deployed on-premises or hosted in the cloud and also offers users mobile applications for iOS and Android devices.

Support is available via phone, email and online live chat.

Relatively easy to navigate and submit information. Some questions were not self explanatory and the content requested was not always intuitive.

Cons:
Redundant submission of same data. It seemed as though it was necessary to submit the same inforamtion a number of times.

We have been using PSA for nearly 13 years, and it has transformed the way we manage our business by consolidating multiple tools into one. Among its many features, PSA Ticketing is one of the most valuable. It enables us to efficiently manage client requests, deliver timely support, and create documentation that not only benefits clients now but also serves as a useful reference for their future needs—and for our internal teams when assisting other clients. Over time, we’ve also been able to expand PSA’s capabilities as ConnectWise integrated with additional software partners. We appreciate how PSA incorporated multi-factor authentication (MFA), giving us confidence that our information remains safe and secure.
Cons:
As our data has grown we have noticed some slowness when opening companies with a large number of tickets. We have also found it more difficult to utilize Time Entry Search due to data size. Sometimes it is difficult to communicate easily with PSA support staff.

We made the switched from 3 products to 1, not the product listed above. The products we used are not included in the list but you cannot leave it blank and 'not listed' is not an option. We made this change to simplify our support and enable our technicians to provide excellent support to our clients.

Powerful ticketing tool with lot of integrated features

I've used homebrew, Autotask and CWise over the years and this is the best yet and it is getting better all the time

Fully featured, fully integrated with products like Automate and Control. The latest version lets you connect to machines directly from the ticket which is fantastic. Auvik and LogicMonitor connectivity lets them create tickets when alerts fire (and Auvik will even close tickets that clear)
Cons:
Working in the back end and templates can be a little cumbersome, but worth sticking with it for the things it can do.

overall it just works and has what we need. we can rely on it to function day in and day out. It may be a bit complicated and clunky to configure but reliability of it functioning is there.

It is extremely powerful and can do just about anything you need out of a PSA. It does just work once it is setup and everything integrates with it.
Cons:
complicated and outdated. It does not feel like a modern platform. there are aspects like pods that you can't control granularly on tickets.

I like the inclusion of everything a new or existing MSP needs. From ticketing to finance to projects everything you need is right there.
Cons:
The interface is ugly and cannot be customized like other brands. It looks really old and doesnt seem to have every really gone through a design change.

Very feature rich and highly customizable, you can use this tool to manage a ton of workflows across the company. There is better stuff out there for CMDB, Sales, etc but for service tickets and project management it is solid.
Cons:
The UI was pretty awful, and it was not the most intuitive for new staff to pick up. Some of the integrations were not very meaningful.

Mostly the pricing was too high for Cherwell and ConnectWise was widely used in the industry

ConnectWise PSA does many things well, but definitely could be better!

For the most part, ConnectWise PSA does many things well. I like being able to have multiple service boards and the integrations with 3rd party software is very nice.

Automation with ConnectWise is pretty amazing compared to the PSA that we came from. The Service Desk/Dispatch Portal are very flexible and customizable to each users preferences/job role.
Cons:
Inventory with ConnectWise is cumbersome and does not work well with our business model. We came from TigerpawOne, which actually did inventory well so it was a bit of a let down after moving to the CW PSA platform.

We talked to a bunch of other MSP's and determined that this would be the best fit.

Tigerpaw lacked integrations with 3rd party software which was critical as we stepped into the MSP space.

It's a great tool for any Technology Services organization. Workflows can do a lot, aligns to ITIL, can be built in a flexible way to support the needs of the business.
Cons:
Workflows do have their own limitations and it requires some foundational knowledge of the system before setup. SLA's only being tied to agreements instead of boards can be a constraint

For the size of businesses that I work in it was a better solution.

We’ve been using ConnectWise PSA for a while now, and it’s really helped us pull everything together in one place. Before, we were juggling tickets, projects, billing, and reporting across different systems, but now it all lives under one roof. We use ConnectWise PSA exclusively at our MSP. The ticketing system provides accountability for instances from open to close across all departments of our business.
Cons:
I find the program difficult for new hires to "jump in" on. My more seasoned agents have no issues with the application, but there is a steep learning curve because much of the navigation from tab to tab and section to section does not happen intuitively.

Excellent cloud ticketing system

I love working with, and absolutely recommend ConnectWise. It has been one of the easiest in-office norms to acclimate to. The interface of ConnectWise is easy to figure out!

ConnectWise is robust -- there are tons of features and options that provide an elaborate ticketing system, including all of the multimedia uploads required of a modern business, met with time keeping tools. The ticketing system is very collaborative, and supportive of remote workers. Overall awesome for a collaborative ticketing system for the mainstream end user, and beyond.
Cons:
Not anything specific. It works flawlessly. There are so many customizable options. YA DIBYA, awwww yosssssss. :3
