Pros:

I needed a simple website redirect and initially tried using Namecheap's URL redirection service. I quickly realized that they don't support the https redirect. redirect.pizza looked like a suitable solution, and to my surprise, I was up and running in under 5 minutes.

Cons:

I can honestly say I have nothing to write here. Everything just worked and I was up and running in under 5 minutes with zero issues.

Link redirection made easy and efficient with redirect.pizza

I am not a tech person. Because of requirement, I though to do the redirection in my domain provider or with the web hosting plaform. My one day got wasted as I was unable to achieve even after discussions with their support. ChatGPT suggested me to use Redirect Pizza and it just took less than 15 mins to create account and have my first redirection. The status and tester tools helped me confirm the service was actually working. Within a couple of hours, I can see the redirection working in my browser. And then I learnt about API and query in the tool. I am planning to use them for my projects ahead.

Pros:

I liked the east way to setup simple redirection from one URL and a new one. The best park is that it can support redirection of query in the source URL to the target. APIs are easy way to automate the redirection at a big scale, making it the go to tech tool for redirection.

Cons:

Currently, I am on free plan and it limits most of the usable features. Having few more necessary tools in the free and basic plan would help.

Reasons for choosing redirect.pizza

I have checked for Bitly in parallel for URL redirection and shortening. But the customization features here are better. I have even tried Google Script webapp, but the url there was too long for customization

What’s a DNS???

Easy to understand for a novice, price is right(free), it delivered what it promised. So it save me from a failed website.

I was directed by our website host to do something with something called a DNS. Not my expertise in the least. I just post content. I have to admit Redirect Pizza was clear, easy, and I was successful the first try. Thanks. Now I can do what I really like - post content.

Cons:

For the novice, it still is technical (I guess this is the target audience). The problem was understanding the requirements in the host domain and how this integrates with the website host. It sits in the middle and assumes we need to know all the technical details of all systems. Ugh!!

If you want something simple that just works, this does.

I’ve been using redirect.pizza for managing redirects across a few domains, and it’s honestly made things so much easier. Cons:

Some advanced features are locked behind higher plans, and I wish it had a bit more SEO data integration — but that’s minor.

Ordering a pizza requires more effort than managing your redirect with Redirect.Pizza

Pros:

It was literally the easiest thing ever to setup a redirect—I created an account and had the entire thing functioning in under 5 minutes. I’m impressed!

Cons:

No complaints so far! In the future, would be nice to be able to automatically redirect specific blog articles to their new url—but that’s but possible on any platform that I’m aware of.

Alternatives were more complicated. I also like that redirect.pizza was more private—less (no?) data collecting.

Works as expected for redirecting from Namecheap

I was having trouble redirecting my website from Namecheap. When I came across redirect.pizza, it was really easy to use and the instructions were clear to follow. My website redirected almost immediately after linking with Namecheap.

Great service, helps fix annoying issue with google sites

I had an annoying issue with google sites where the naked domain did not work (typing the website without www.). For some reason, google sites does not allow you to add naked domains as additional custom domains. Setting up the redirect is the perfect and easy workaround
