One year into CarePatron

It is amazing. I am able to have live video conferencing with multiple appointments as long as they setup an appointment in the same time slot

They state they are always free and so far have kept that business model. Their pay feature is optional

Cons:

The website occasionally logs me out. It is a minor distraction compared to the value it provides to remote professionals

One Stop Shop

Overwhelmingly positive. It has made things so much easier in my practice, which is important as a one-person show.

All functions required for a practice are in one place— scheduling, billing, client database, notes, and more. Developers are constantly working to improve the product and add new features

Cons:

I wish that some of the features were a little easier to customize. For example, client forms should be easier to import and transform into a fillable form. Sometimes the interface isn't as intuitive as you might like it to be.

I needed something that was more comprehensive in being able to manage clients, documents, scheduling, and everything else.

Lack of transparency and lots of bugs

It sucks. The tool has a good proposal, but it's very buggy and the support is very slow to resolve the issues raised. The tool does not accept foreign credit cards and they ask you to go talk to Stripe. I have an issue with my email that persists for over two months, and now that they changed their subscription model without notice, they offered me a free upgrade for one year so when renewal comes, I'll be forced to downgrade to one of their new plans, which are far more expensive than the one I currently have. They are not transparent and, so far, I'll stop recommending them to my colleagues.

It's an ok tool: It contemplates a secure meeting room, scheduling page per employee, etc.

Cons:

The lack of transparency: the free version grants you 1 GB of space, but that gets filled within 3 or 4 months of usage with 4 or 5 months. There's nowhere for you to check where that space is used. That will be consumed even if you don't attach any files to the patients' records. I went to an unlimited plan, but now they changed their subscription model and apparently my plan is no longer unlimited, so once I achieve 5 GB of data (according to them), I'll need to look for another partner. Besides, Carepatron doesn't offer integration with CalDAV calendars or the creation of new meetings. Every patient will always see the same link, risking patients entering into other people's sessions.

Carepatron seemed to be an ok solution. I was aware of the features, but these recent changes were awful.

Best Bang for Your Buck I was able to Find

They provided a free trial and through it, was able to try it out enough to realize it was going to work for me. I have 4 months in at least, and for the price, it's the best you can get.

A lot of features for a very low price. Customizable forms and multiple features that are also customizable. Very steady and reliable video platform w/ the option to integrate Zoom into it.

Cons:

Some features are too primitive as in lacking auto functions, for instance, auto populating diagnoses. Difficult to get access to customer support. Constant updates that although good, sometimes are difficult for my computer to absorb w/o resorting to incognito mode.

Therapy Notes is too expensive and they charge for ct appointment reminders. If text and/or email.

The price relative to the features and stability of the platform was an easy determination.

Overall I have had a wonderful experience it has helped me keep track of the most important aspect of my business and that's administration and finance and has saved me alot of time and money as Carepatron offers 1 program that has several functions

Pros:

I have been using Carepatron for almost two years now and I love that it works as my own personal accountant by providing the invoice platform and allow us to keep track of money owing and paid invoices. I've loved that it also works as my personal assistant by having your client contact information saved, track client appointments and services rendered. I've loved that all correspondence can be sent directly from Carepatron and it is very easy to use, and is brilliant for day to day use.

Cons:

The only thing that I don't like about Carepatron is the templates some of the templates do not always download and that it has to be emailed before it can be used

I found that quick books did not have all of the functions that I required

This is one of the most cost-effective databases for healthcare providers with great telehealth and calendar intregrations! We can customize most forms and the ai scribe is amazing!

Cons:

I still find it a little challenging to build my own forms and would love to be able to upload word documents to convert to forms. Would love to have an insurance billing capacity integrated too

The templates offered are not comprehensive and seem buggy. Also, Carepatron generated automatic notifications to my client even when I attempted to suppress them.
