Brilliant Directories is hidden gold in a world of unique platforms

My experience with Brilliant Directories has been a pleasant one because I knew what I was getting into. I studied the platform prior to committing any dollars to it. I took it out for a test drive with a trial. I watched the interaction in their Facebook group. Once I jumped in I knew that it would take time to build and I prepared my mind for that. Now that I know what It can do I really want to customize it more so now I need to slow down and learn some of the advanced areas. I really love working in this tool and the tech support is second to none.

Pros:

I think what I liked most about using a tool like Brilliant Directories is the range that it presents. You can make it as small or as large as you want it to be. If you want to do a small site you can if you want to run a massive site you can do that as well.

Cons:

I think what I like least is the way it is structured or broken out. It is not a con per se, but if you are a starter in building directories it can be overwhelming and that is not a bad thing it's just once you jump into the Brilliant Directories pool you better make darn sure you can swim or willing to put in the time to learn how to swim in that ocean. I think they should give you some type of bumpers like in bowling when you are just learning. They just give you keys to fancy million dollar car and let you go. Which is nice, but can scare people who are novices

The Staple Tool For The Foundation of My Businesses

Using Brilliant Directories is one of the best decisions I've made. It's so good that I own three Directories! It's now a part of my business foundation. So, whenever I consider a different component or brand for my business, it's my first stop.

Very Useful Platform for a Directory Startup

We could never have gotten our directory up and running with Brilliant Directories, or something like it.

Pros:

Brilliant Directories offers all of the features that any directory needs. It's easy to add options such as: coupons, photos, videos, and blogs, as well as different membership levels. Importing and exporting data is also quite simple.

Cons:

By necessity, this software is quite complex. This isn't a flaw - it's just the way a quality directory is. It takes time to learn everything that you need to know to get a directory up and running. Consequently, I recommend starting out with a very specific market niche, and a limited number of features. "Bells and whistles" can later be introduced as upgrades.

Great tool for sororities and fraternities

My overall experience customizing the tool to make it our own has been great. I haven't needed support because the documentation is top-notch. I look forward to sharing this fantastic tool with our members.

Pros:

First, the team is fantastic and responsive. Second, my organization has been looking for a way to manage our membership data and payments. This product goes above and beyond what we wanted in a membership management solution! The ability to look each other up, have our calendars at our fingertips, simplify online payments for different membership types, and apply our branding to all of it is fantastic! The more I dig in to customize our site, the more I like this as our one-stop shop. Wait! And it's affordable!!!

Cons:

Finding where to customize things can be a bit complicated. I would also love it if there were a place to store our brand colors and fonts and have those choices appear in the appropriate pickers.

After researching the other products, I found that Brilliant Directories had more options for less. It was also on sale for Black Friday on AppSumo.

A good solution with great potential.

I had to resolve an issue late at night, well after their closing hours, and I honestly didn’t expect a response until the next day. To my surprise, I got help and had the issue resolved in less than 30 minutes the same day. I really can’t complain. Great experience overall!

I really like how flexible Brilliant Directories is. If you’re just starting out it is really easy to use, but if you’re more techie and have web development experience, there’s a lot of advanced options to explore. The support team is on point. They’re quick to respond and super helpful, even after regular hours.

Cons:

The only downside right now is that advanced customizations can be a bit tricky. You have to dig into the pages, and the code sections are split across a lot of different areas, which makes it a little harder to manage. If they can make this easier it will be almost perfect.

Intuitive community website alternative to Kajabi

Overall it is pretty simple and straight forward to start but will need time to get it to the point where I want things to flow within my community.

Fairly easy to set up and get started right of the bat. They do have quick set up tutorials which make things a bit easier just to get the site up. Just like anything else though, to get it to your liking is going to take some time.

Cons:

The UI seems a little bit dated but so far that is the only thing that I have found so far as I am new and still getting to know the layout of the land.

I had a friend send me a deal and I’m so grateful she did. I think this is going to not only change my business but give me the confidence to promote it even more! The video instructions and helpful tips are wonderful!

I appreciate the themes function and how easy they’ve made building a website to meet my needs instead of me having to dedicate time, add apps and plugins it comes with everything my business model may need so I can get going faster. Also love the lifetime access!

Cons:

The aesthetic is a little clunky but I may just need more time to play around with it. I don’t think this will deter people from the site though which is most important.
