Missed potential

If your primary metric is output of content, and getting *something* in front of your teams for the least effort/money, Shape is awesome! If you're more interested in whether the learning goes in, then there's no substitute for good old fashioned high quality learning design.

Pros:

When the guiding philosophy is "something is better than nothing", then Shape is great for getting you out of a pinch.

Cons:

The content is bland, relatively ineffective from a pedagogical point of view, and universally does not create much engagement.
