Love Foundation Soft for the job costing abilities, the PM module is wonderful and of course PR, AR and AP. The way everything works together is perfect.

The customer service availability, training and education.
Cons:
It can be a bit persnickety when it comes to connectivity. Seems to time out quickly if I am not consistently working in Foundation. That can be annoying.

Their customer service was horrible. We needed more personal service.

Foundation Software has great customer service and support. Their staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. The cost of the software is a great value for the capabilities of the software and it room for growth that has allowed us to scale up in our business.
Cons:
We are opting in to new products/add Ons as Foundation has been offering them such HRHQ, Foundation Pay, Safety HQ. There have been growing pains and sometime these have been clunky or down. I would hope that Foundation allocates more resources to these new products to help ensure that they are successful and we can continue to utilize them.

Reasons for choosing FOUNDATION

Software functions and capabilities vs the price of these items. Vista had a lot of bells and whistles but they were way overpriced in our opinion.

Reasons for switching to FOUNDATION

We switched from Interac but that is not an option in your dropdown list. We had outgrown the Interac system. It was a DOS based system and not a SQL database.

As a thought arises, the software team upgrades as clients request additional features! Support is EXCELLENT!
Cons:
A "find" feature would be useful (like the one we previously had with Quickbooks). Other than that we are so happy!

I love the SUPPORT! Anytime I get stuck help is always just a phone call away! We have been able to utilize custom reports to get the data out exactly how we want it and the set up wasn't too bad (since we had great help!)
Cons:
It doesn't do *everything* we want but it does so much more than Sage and it has shaved a huge burden off of our accounting department. On-boarding was really hard work - but it helped us get down into what we really needed and helped us get familiar with Foundation at the same time. We LOVED our onboarding specialist - [sensitive content hidden] She was the best teacher and we always looked forward to our time with her.

Reasons for switching to FOUNDATION

Our system was too cumbersome and spread across too many platforms making it difficult and complicated to do payroll and accounting.

I like it, the cost keeps going up and now everything is an add on. But I like that it offers a lot of different components like the pr taxes and w2 filings.

it was easy to learn and use. The support team are great and the online help by topics are really good. I also know that if I do need help, I can have Support help me, support is the key, they get back to me very fast! I like how some support people really know what they're doing in Foundations and have knowledge in taxes and construction accounting. It's helpful!!!
Cons:
Trying to make custom reports, not having a lot of different elements to create a report. Not being able to reprint some of payroll reports.

Foundations was cheaper than Timberline.

Foundation is very user friendly, and the customer service is top notch! It keeps all of our accounting straight with one software. You can scan documents into Foundation for employee files, billings, payments. So all you have to do is go to one place to look for everything.
Cons:
There are some simple thing I wish I could do in Foundation. I would love to open a job and go to the next without having to close the job. A service profitability report would be nice for a service side. Like I said it is minor things.

We loved the look and feel of the software. It was able to do all the accounting needs we required.

It's a good program but lacks progression. Foundation seems to be catching up and not evolving it's program - rather buying other programs as add-ons when they should look at the outdated features it already has inside and make it better for the clients.

That it tries to be a one-stop shop. Service is pretty responsive. For the most part, ease of use is simple.
Cons:
Some of it's features are outdated like the payroll mobile module. They've just given up on it because they've acquired another system. Also, the document imaging hasn't been worked on. There's no drag and drop feature. If you want a query it'll take weeks when it shouldn't and you're charged an outrageous amount for a report that should be built in.

It's more outdated than Foundation. No option for document imaging and dos based.

Well-designed for construction industry company in the Goldilocks range of size - too many are either for small businesses (not properly job-costing, can't handle multi-union payroll) or for large corporations (where I'd need to triple my staff just for the data entry). Foundation has a great niche in between.
Cons:
Some of the more "modern" features are gatekept in their ProjectHQ separate module - would be nice to see these not only integrated from a price perspective, but overall into the functionality of the system and not a separate entry.

Product's focus on the size of user - others focus on "too small" or "too big" of companies, which create data/efficiency issues.

The ease at inputting info and viewing the reports. Keeping the software up to date. Customer Service is the best, they call back in a timely manner.
Cons:
Not really a con - but it is a vast software and it can do so much - I am only use a fraction of its capability.
