Works flawlessly and cheaper than the longer-standing alternatives

Couldn't be happier - it takes care of all my Amazon and eBay bookkeeping for a relatively low fee.

Pros:

Just works - once it's set up it just ticks away in the background sending reconcilliation data to XeroCustomer support is excellent - any time I've had a problem the team have replied within a few hours and kept me updated until it was fixed

Cons:

Honestly don't have any problems with this software. Only thing to look out for is that if your sales reduce to a level that would have you on a lower tier it doesn't automatically reduce your subscription cost - you've got to go to your account and manually make the switch.

Excellent customer service and saves time and stress

I have two children in lockdown, in a business massively affected by Brexit, so a stressful situation that was made much easier with Link My Books. The software was fast to adapt to the changing situations, with good clear knowledge bases on the new set ups. I had a couple of queries as I went along and had great support from the Link My Books team - fast and knowledgeable. The only reason I gave 8 stars for the set up complexity is because it is complicated, but then its a complex subject and at least you only have to do it once unless there are major changes to the tax systems. I don't give recommendations unless I mean them, and this software has been a genuine help in difficult times, thank you.

Pros:

Link my Books has honestly made my book-keeping life easier. Putting my Amazon transactions through at VAT return time used to be one of the things I dreaded most and it has become much faster now because I do it as I go along with minimum hassle. The implementation of Brexit changes and eBay managed payments would have been much more complex without this app too, and once set up was complete it is now just a matter of a few clicks each week and a double check I agree at VAT return time.

Cons:

I wish I didn't need this software, because it is doing a job my accounting software could do but doesn't so I feel I am paying twice but that is not the fault of Link My Books. It is also a massive amount cheaper than paying a book-keeper so although I don't like paying (who does) it is worth it. The charging structure is also a lot more reasonable than most, so not really complaining!

Reasons for choosing Link My Books

I do use Greenback for my Woocommerce transactions, and attempted to use it for eBay managed payments but there was still a lot of clicking and confusion compared to Link my Books so I swapped for my eBay transactions too as soon as the option was available and I'm sure that was the right choice.

Pros:

This product is just so easy to use, and saves me hours per week when compiling accounts. The other thing to mention, is both the support when setting up, and the ongoing support. When we set up at first, Daniel was helpful and incredibly knowledgeable. Beyond that, whenever we've had questions or issues (which is very rare, and normally issues of my making) one of the support team have been on hand to resolve them very quickly.

Cons:

I'm struggling to think of anything, I'm very happy with the product and it fits my needs perfectly.

Best SaaS out there for integration of Amazon transactions with Xero accounting. A few minutes a week goes a long way importing a multitude of complex transactions in a few easy steps.

Cons:

None at the moment. Having used Link My Books for over three years never had a hiccup.

Huge timesaver

Hours per mont have been saved. Data can be drilled into to check it has been synced and categorised/codes properly. The people who built it seem to understand business and typical UK accounting relatively well which is not common with other products.

We like most that it automates what would otherwise by a hugely cumbersome process

Cons:

The only real issues are some very specific and small quirks -mainly with the UI - and a couple of workarounds are needed when these crop up. There isn't much bad to say and the product regularly improves anyway

It handles UK taxes correctly unlike other products which don't, probably because they are built by people who don't or haven't worked in the UK on Amazon businesses

Very happy

I've been using LMB for quite some time now and thoroughly recommend it. Super-efficient software - once it's set up (which itself is pretty straightforward) it's a very smooth process, and I actually have very little to do with it at all now. I occasionally spot check invoices / totals / balances just for my own peace of mind, but it's always spot on. A great time-saver, and much cheaper than the alternatives I originally considered. Highly recommend to all!

Easy integration, and I'm very confident that I can leave it to automate the process. Very efficient, and a huge time saver.

Cons:

Really hoping that it will be rolled out to Etsy as well, as this is now where most of my accounts time is taken up!

Just what I was looking for

Just a really great piece of software that makes my life a whole lot easier. Once we went Pan EU I had to get some sort of Amazon integration with Xero as I was doing it manually before that. Considered A2X but they're overpriced and US-centric. Being in the UK made LMB the obvious choice. But, I really couldn't be happier. I'm difficult to please and will often hop around and change providers several times before I'm satisfied. No need with LMB. I'm sure as others will mention too their customer service is extraordinary. Dan will often reply to queries himself, never with stock replies, but a real interest in getting your issue fixed asap.

Cons:

Nothing really stands out as missing really. I suppose it's not able to reconcile VAT outside my home country, but I think this is a limitation of Xero and not just LMB. Oh another small thing, would be nice if they emailed me the invoice every month (or better yet automatically feed it to Xero), rather than having to manually download from the site.

Regarding your feedback on our invoices, in the billing area you can actually send them directly to Xero in one click - we then create a bill for you and attach our VAT invoice. Link My Books seamlessly extracts information from my Seller Central account and puts it all neatly in an invoice. This saves countless hours of trying to go through all of the various reports that Amazon offers. Plus, this saves me from potential human error. In addition to this, [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] has been fantastic! Not only has [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] answered any questions that I've had, he even personally made a short video for me to show me how to do something. Can't recommend Link My Books enough.

Cons:

The initial setup can be a bit daunting when setting up tax mapping. This really isn't much of a con though as it is a requirement to have everything automated.

I also sell in UK and the rest of Europe. Link My Books is the expert when it comes to those marketplaces.

It is incredibly easy to use, the team are so helpful to help you set up, this has probably been the best investment I have made in my Amazon business!

Cons:

It would be great if the transactions could adjust the stock levels on Xero, if they could do this it would be perfect . Really want them to link to Shopify as well but I believe this is on the way
