At first, I didn’t expect much from KeyCue — I thought it was just a small utility to show keyboard shortcuts. But once I started using it, something changed. It quietly integrated into my daily routine, helping me work faster, think less, and click less. I didn’t even realize how often I was using it — until one day, I used a Mac without KeyCue and felt completely lost. It’s the kind of tool that doesn’t scream for attention but makes your work smoother in the background. I’ve used it to open folders instantly, insert emojis in blog posts, trigger macros, and even teach myself shortcuts I never knew existed. It turned my Mac into a more powerful version of itself — without adding any complexity. Whether you’re a content creator, developer, blogger, or just someone who wants to work a little faster and smarter, I’d say this: Try KeyCue for a week — you might not notice how much you love it… until it’s gone.

This is especially useful for users who prefer a mouse or trackpad, or for those working in limited setups without full keyboards. Other powerful features include: • Create shortcuts to open folders or websites instantly, such as Desktop, Downloads, or your most-used links • Access emojis and special symbols directly from KeyCue, making content creation smoother • Display custom macros from tools like Keyboard Maestro, so you can view all automated actions in one place • Fully customizable trigger keys, including Shift, Control, Fn, or others to fit your workflow • Supports a wide range of popular macOS applications, from basic utilities to pro-level creative tools Whether you’re a beginner wanting to learn, or a pro aiming to speed up your workflow, KeyCue becomes an invisible assistant that helps you work smarter — not harder.

Cons:

KeyCue doesn’t display every shortcut from some apps, especially newer or more complex ones with custom commands. It’s macOS only, so Windows users can’t benefit from its features. First-time users may need a little time to get used to it, and the available documentation is quite limited. Some useful features — like opening the emoji panel by double-pressing Shift — aren’t obvious unless discovered through trial and error. However, most trigger keys and actions can be easily customized later in the settings, and it’s incredibly simple to do — even for beginners.

Simple and tiny everyday helper with huge outcome.

It's a perfect companion for everyone that is aware of the power of shortcuts. that first step should be learned already - and keycue will help you improving that often underestimated muscle.

Awesome feature set. Beautiful design. Good options.

Cons:

For a while, KeyCue would prevent Apple Pay from functioning. That has now been addressed, though.
