Petboost has completely transformed the way we run our business.

Petboost has become the operational backbone of Hound Health Bondi. It’s allowed us to automate admin, reduce no-shows, and provide a smoother experience for both customers and staff. It’s also given us the flexibility to grow without worrying about whether the system can keep up. The support team is responsive, updates are regular, and new features are rolled out with real intention. Highly recommend for any pet business — grooming, daycare, training, walking — whether you’re solo or have a full team. It just works.

Petboost’s booking engine is unlike anything else we’ve come across. It handles complex requirements like dog size, breed restrictions, desexing status, suburb eligibility, service-specific limits, and even public holiday overrides — all with zero friction. What really stands out is how it manages initial vs. return visits. We offer services that require more time or assessment on the first appointment, and Petboost has this built-in — meaning no manual workarounds or awkward notes. Their approach to cancellations and no-shows is best in class. They securely store card details on file, check for available funds a few days before the appointment, and automatically notify both us and the owner if payment might be an issue. This has saved us hundreds in lost revenue. Reminders are baked into the platform. Owners get timely texts and emails in the lead-up to their appointment, reducing our manual admin dramatically. These reminders — plus SMS and email — are all included in the flat fee. No hidden costs, no per-message charges for reminder SMS. The self-service experience for owners is simple and intuitive. New customers can see real-time availability and book in minutes. Since Petboost launched its new 2025 platform, our online bookings have jumped significantly. It’s a no-brainer for both mobile and fixed-location businesses. Petboost has clearly been built by someone who gets the day-to-day of running a pet services business. Everything from recurring bookings to handling multi-pet households to adjusting appointment durations and buffer times — it’s all there. Set-up is easy, changes are seamless, and cancellation workflows are straightforward. They've thought of everything.
Cons:
The only thing missing right now is a ‘report card’ feature where we could send a summary with photos and notes after each appointment. That said, Petboost already lets us upload appointment notes and images that owners can view any time. We know this feature is in the works — and when it lands, it'll be the cherry on top.

While Gingr and KennelBooker are both comprehensive and widely used, I chose Petboost because it's Australian-based and run by a local team who truly understand the unique needs of our industry here. Petboost’s all-inclusive, transparent pricing was another key factor — no hidden fees, no per-message charges, and everything we need included from the start. Plus, their customer support and responsiveness far exceeded what I saw elsewhere. It’s clear Petboost is built with pet businesses, not just for them.
