Open source xeokit SDK viewer - toolkit for every BIM geek!

I primarily use the xeoVision application, which is built on top of the xeokit SDK, my overall experience has been excellent. xeoVision gives me a powerful 3D viewer that supports various file formats (IFC, GLB, etc.). I can slice the model, take measurements, inspect object properties and even export model data to CSV or Excel files. This is extremely useful for analyzing models and understanding the data they contain. What I appreciate most about xeokit SDK itself is that it's open-source, enabling the development of advanced tools like xeoVision. This openness is key to innovation in the AEC space, and it allows users like me to benefit from high-performance, customizable solutions for BIM visualization and validation

Pros:

- Excellent performance when rendering large 3D BIM models directly in the browser, - measurement tools with snapping functionality - iframe feature which I use on daily work using Miro boards - possiblity to have more than one model on the scene

Cons:

More tutorials for users would be helpful. Such materials always help you learn how to use the software faster.

Point claud + BIM model + web browser = xeokit SDK

My experience has been positive :) I think it's worth a try if you just need a solution for displaying 3D models or point clouds in a web browser.

Pros:

It is a simple solution that offers a lot of possibilities. From my perspective, it is important to display the point clouds and link them to the BIM model - xeokit is great for this.

Cons:

More advanced point cloud processing tools are missing, but can be solved by other free tools - for example: CloudCompare
