About AnyDesk

AnyDesk is a remote support solution that helps users access files and documents on any device across multiple locations. Key features of this platform include online collaboration, file sharing, access control and personalized user interface.

Designed for small to midsize businesses, AnyDesk comes with a built-in address book that keeps track of contacts/connections and enables users to view online status for collaborators. It enables enterprises to perform tasks with less bandwidth and in areas with poor internet connectivity. Additionally, the solution’s administration tool allows remote reboot, sessions reporting, automated invoicing and billing.

Other features of AnyDesk include international keyboard support, file transfer, lightweight, encryption technology and more. The product can either be deployed on-premise or hosted on the cloud. It is available on a monthly subscription and support is extended via documentation, phone and email.

Pros:
Ease of use Customazation according to company needs (branding, logo, disclaimers, network parameters and many others) Cheaper than closest revival Good dashboard with also history of connections Address book with common connections Option to create web connection, without the need of software.
Cons:
Some years ago, this was way cheaper. Unfortunatelly, latetely they have changed charging policy, however to be honnest, it's still in very competitive price.

Reasons for switching to AnyDesk

- Price. TeamViewer was very expensive. - Imcombatibility with newer versions. If a customer had a newer version, you could not connect to them, unless you pay to get the newest as well.

Anydesk is the best free remote software to access another computer.

Pros:
Anydesk was the perfect solution when my TeamViewer stopped giving me free remote access to my work computer. Anydesk has faithfully worked well for me except on a few occasions, I have been able to do remote work easily during the pandemic accessing files that are on an office server and computer.
Cons:
There have been rare occasions that Anydesk has disconnected on me in the middle of something and had trouble reconnecting for a while.

Reasons for switching to AnyDesk

Teamviewer stopped allowing me to use the free version.

Pros:
With AnyDesk, I can securely access and control devices remotely. AnyDesk allows me to transfer files securely between remote devices. Again, AnyDesk offers technical remote IT support.
Cons:
When running multiple concurrent remote sessions, AnyDesk performance tends to be slow. Again, remote session disconnection is another challenge that I experience whenever having unstable internet connectivity.

Pros:
AnyDesk is no nonsense software. For the basic version, you don't have to install. it can be used right out of the box after downloading it.
Cons:
While it makes overseas and remote working a bliss, there are also privacy concerns! If the privacy settings are not configured, the remote user would still have access to your machine.

Reasons for switching to AnyDesk

I find AnyDesk a little easier than TeamViewer. While TeamViewer is a much secure software though.

Good, but critically flawed.

We had a short trial to evaluate the software over Teamviewer. Communications were friendly and polite and we had regular check ins to see how we were doing and if we needed any help. The app itself is fast and easy to use when using it across some test devices, but the app builder is terrible. Genuinely I don't understand how someone signed off on that part of the deployment process. Seems to be a common theme from some Reddit reviews.

Pros:
The app is fantastic and super easy to connect remotely to machines
Cons:
The app builder for deploying an app to remote devices using your own settings is quite possibly the worst thing I've ever used. It's slow, it's buggy, it almost always forgets settings you've ticked/applied, and remote access is painful.

Reasons for switching to AnyDesk

Teamviewer is expensive, offers a limited number of managed devices, and the new app UI is terrible in comparison to the old one.
