About Acuity Scheduling

Acuity Scheduling is a cloud-based appointment scheduling solution that enables business owners to manage appointments online. The product caters to the needs of small and midsize businesses as well as individual professionals. Acuity Scheduling lets users automate appointment bookings by offering a real-time view of the time available. It has the capability to automatically sync calendars according to users’ time zones and can send regular alerts and reminders to users regarding appointment schedules.

Acuity Scheduling’s scheduling feature set includes customizable intake forms, embeddable calendars, third party application calendar synchronizing and group scheduling for workshops. Acuity Scheduling is suitable for service-based businesses such as training and tutoring centers, coaching and consulting, photography and video production companies, fitness studios, salons and spa centers and health and dental clinics. The solution offers a free basic module and is available as a monthly subscription. The product offers APIs and integrates with third-party applications such as QuickBooks, FreshBooks, MailChimp, Google Analytics and WordPress.

Still a solid choice

Customer service is very good, and it's very much a set-and-forget tool that comes in handy for capturing potential clients.

Pros:

The primary function is straightforward, and there's plenty of room for customisability when new and old clients view the scheduling page.

Cons:

Email accounts that are added by an administrator as users, can't then set up their own account. Maybe this is more appropriate for big business that manage their own internal email addresses.

Pros:

Since I implemented Acuity, I no longer have to spend hours a day managing my calendar. Clients can book a call, without all the email back and forth to line up schedules! Ah,.. Acuity sends reminders... no more manual reminding. Saves my focus for more important work that actually serves the clients.

Cons:

Managing multiple office locations. Maybe I am doing this correctly and there is an easier way.

What I like most about Acuity Scheduling now is how automated and customizable it is. It makes booking effortless by handling availability, confirmations, and reminders automatically, while still letting you tailor scheduling rules and client intake forms to fit specific needs.

Cons:

What I like least about Acuity Scheduling now is that some advanced features and integrations can feel complex or locked behind higher-tier plans, which can make setup and customization take more time than expected.

Pros:

I've used so many different electronic calendars and Acuity is by far one of the best. The weekly schedule viewer simply cannot be compared to other platforms. It is also great to be able to have private notes that can be shared across the team on each booking.

Cons:

It is pricey compared to other platforms, but dare I say it's worth it. Also, since Acuity was acquired recently, it makes you re-log into your account like every half hour and it is VERY annoying. This alone has decreased my satisfaction with Acuity significantly.

Reasons for choosing Acuity Scheduling

Again, Acuity weekly view is better than other platforms. Most platforms don't even have a week view available, or if they do it cannot be custom colour coded.

Reasons for switching to Acuity Scheduling

Because Calendly has no weekly view, and Acuity's is top notch.

Pros:

Great scheduling software. Once you've learned the system it is quick and easy to view, make changes, or adjust schedules. Makes scheduling and booking a breeze along with there is great customer support in case there are questions. Has more features than most scheduling softwares.

Cons:

Acuity makes scheduling my team so much easier. No more messy spreadsheets or texting everyone back and forth. I just set the times, and my employees can grab their shifts. It sends out reminders too, so nobody forgets. Super simple and saves me a ton of time.

Simple and Sleek gets the job done!

Overall, I was very pleased with my experience. The simple and sleek design and interface (both provider- and patient-facing) made it easy for sessions to be booked, charted, and paid for.

Pros:

The ease of use on the provider-facing platform. Our patients reported ease with the ability to see all services and to book through the Acuity Scheduling platform.

Cons:

The SOAP note capabilities was the only con that I can think of; being able to take thorough notes is crucial for us and the way notes are setup for sessions was a bit time consuming.

Reasons for switching to Acuity Scheduling

Practice fusion was too "clunky" and slow. The scheduling capabilities were very limited as well.

Great scheduling platform

Pretty easy to use, stores client data and clients dont mind using it. I like that i have different payment processing set up.

Pros:

The ability to easily set up different appointment times and that it saves client information. Also stores all group class info.

Cons:

That it changed the email confirmation that goes to customers where you cant easily add it to your calendar. Now you have to download the appointment to add to your calender.

Don't recommend if you plan to grow.

I feel like its ok for a small 1-3 person company. It would be a waste of money for larger ones. Memberships were a headache. Learning it on your own is not fun.

Easy booking for clients, but the downside is that since clients don't have to create a log in, they will end up booking under multiple accounts using their different emails.

Cons:

YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN. NO PHONE SUPPORT. Not ideal for larger companies who want to do subscription memberships, it's very limiting and messy. They only do POS with Square or Stripe which have super high CC processing fees.

This is a very managaeble software that makes scheduling so much easier than competitors. With their visibility qualities and scheduling tool, it has been the best ive used so far

I like Acuity Scheduling because you can customize your booking pages with your brand, like your logo and color schemes.Its also mobile friendly.

Cons:

Some cons for Acuity Scheduling are it can be expensive for small businesses and it has no free tier like other apps.Setting up advanced features can also be confusing and time consuming.
