Google Pay vs Square Payments: Which is best for you?

What I like most about Google pay is the payment options it offers, especially "tap to pay", I love that I don't have to carry my physical card around with me and I can use my phone to pay whenever I need to.

I wish there was a split payment option. When adding gift cards to Google Pay it is slightly inconvenient to not be able to process two payments on one transaction.

Overall, Square Payments is a very good payment-processing solution for small-to-mid sized businesses, startups, side hustles, or anyone who values ease of setup and flexibility over deep customization or maximum cost efficiency.

The flat percentage-per-transaction model can be more expensive than custom merchant-account rates if you do a lot of sales, or have large-ticket items — so for high-volume businesses, fees may become significant.
