About GeniusOne

GeniusOne is a school management software designed to help educational centers manage students, parents, tutors, attendance, class schedules and more. The platform allows schools to communicate with students and teachers and manage assignments, events, assessments, grading, and more.

GeniusOne includes an attendance management system that lets parents sign their children in and out of school via a self-service portal. Organizations can track all students’ information, send email notifications for schedule changes or attendance, keep records of registration fees and payments and monitor the performance of tutors via a unified portal.

GeniusOne: An agile, multi-layered centre management service for Kumon Franchisees

Overall, I am solving the problem of children's attendance being too short or too long. Keeping it in the Goldilocks zone means happier, more satisfied parents who feel they are getting good value for their money and who have a clear expectation of when their children will be ready to be collected. I like that it is easy for one of my staff to keep up to date as new children sign up to the program so I do not even have to think about that side of thing. Staff like the ease of check in and out for their hour tracking and pays. The broadcast is a powerful, easy-to-use tool to communicate quickly and efficiently with all centres or (if set up) specific sub-groups. I am also looking forward to integrating other features over the coming months as time permits.

Pros:

The features I use constantly are check in and out for students and well as for staff to track their hours. I also use the Broadcast feature more and more as a quick and easy way to get parents' attention when something specific has come up (for example a snow day when the centre will be closed) or will come up (holiday closure dates of the centre.

Cons:

There are certainly some of the functionalities that could be improved. What makes GeniusOne stand out is the extreme responsiveness of the team to customer service concerns and that they are constantly developing the product, making current features better, and adding new features. I love that all these new features and improvements are available to all clients without us having to pay more.

Reasons for switching to GeniusOne

While I enjoyed the ease of use of MES for over a decade, it didn't offer much in the way of features besides checking my students and staff in and out. The array of functionalities in GeniusOne is much wider and more robust, and the price is roughly the same, so much better value for the money. In fact it is cheaper because I earn discounts and these reduce costs for me.
