About ezyVet

ezyVet is a cloud-based veterinary practice solution that helps hospitals and clinics manage daily operations.

ezyVet enables staff to gain quick information about the patient without clicking the patient's record. The solution has different billing icons to indicate whether the payments are pending receipt or approval. The application has a structured clinical module to store animal records, prescription details, treatment history, and appointments in one place. The clinical module allows multiple teams to view and edit patient records at the same time.

ezyVet integrates with the IDEXX suite of diagnostic equipment and products, including VetConnectPLUS, Vello, Vet Radar, SmartFlow, and rVetLink. ezyVet also integrates with Xero banking and accounting solutions so that all customer details, supplier details, customer invoices, and payments automatically replicate in Xero.

Good Cloud-Based Vet Software

Overall it's a very complete software for veterinarians. It has a lot of features I've not seen on other programs which is nice.

Pros:

The reporting features are great-so many KPI's tracked and sorted for you instead of having to pull the raw data and then put it in your own spreadsheet.

Cons:

How many colors and tabs there are to navigate places. It seems so confusing - trying to remember how to get where you need to.

Get Ezyvet to make your life "Ezy"

I've had a great experience with Ezyvet. From onboarding to go live I felt very prepared and helped. Would recommend to other hospitals.

Pros:

Ezyvet has greatly improved my hospital's efficiency and record taking. The time we save on charting is significant compared to cornerstone. I love the ease of access to the information and how each thing is bundled into categories. It is so easy to send records from ezyvet and also it itegrates with my online pharmacy and texting service which has saved me so much time. The cost is better than cornerstone also. Great value for money spent. Customer support is excellent you can call, but 99.9% of the time I just submit a ticket and within same business day I will get an email with step by step instructions-which is great because I just save the email and go back and review when I need for the next time.

Cons:

I've loved all features of ezyvet so far. I don't necessarily like all the frequent updates, but they are not terrible.

Great cloud-based medical records software

Overall experience has been very good. There was some confusion and disruption in the initial transition to ezyVet, but this was almost entirely due to a lack of preparedness on our (hospital) part, and not the fault of the ezyVet team.

Pros:

Cloud-based, and (effectively) paperless medical record system, that allows access to all information in hospital, and remotely, but very securely. Very flexible and intuitive program that new employees seem to pick up reasonably quickly. Great integration with complementary software programs and companies, allowing easy transfer of information and excellent fee capture. Responsive customer support.

Cons:

Like any software there are always minor features or customization that would be useful in our particular practice, but are not possible as they would disrupt essential features for other clinics. That said, ezyet is far more individually customizable than any other program I am aware of, so this criticism is simply the nature of any program that serves more than one individual hospital. The ezyVet customer support team are very open to feature suggestions and requests, and aim to incorporate them whenever possible. Occasionally bugs appear following rollout of a new software release, though these are rare, almost always minor, and rapidly rectified. These are far outweighed by the constant improvements and automatic updates in the program provided frequently as part of being a customer.

Reasons for switching to ezyVet

The previous program did not provide the records, communication, and fee capture features we needed in our expanding hospital, and did not provide any remote access option at the time. After reviewing around 10 different programs, ezyVet was clearly the most well-suited to our Specialty and Emergency practice.

Cloud based, flow follows the patient, seamless with lots of integrations. Staff feel it is easy to use.

Cons:

Support could be a little better in more timely manner. Seems to have gotten slower when you have a question.

Best PMS ever!

I've had a fantastic overall experience with ezyvet. Very easy to use and I love the customization. I love that super admins have the flexibility to do things, build things, etc.

Pros:

The flexibility it has for super admins, customization, integrations, and features. We are very software heavy at our hospital and this helps when it comes to all the things we need to do for workflow, communication with our primary veterinarians and clients, as well as team functionality.

Cons:

Taking away features that people enjoy and are extremely helpful during new upgrades. Over the last year, it also seems like the support has declined as well. There have been many time where I have called and requested a call back and stay in queue, and I've never gotten a call back. There are also times where I decide to wait, and then I get hung up on after being on hold for over an hour.

ezyVet is more equipped for our size practice and has way more functionality and flexibility.

We were very upset with Smartflow initially, which is why we made the switch to Instinct. Instinct was not a good fit for our hospital, so we transitioned back and got VetRadar.

Super helpful for our small animal & exotics practice

I give it a solid 80%... There are some features that I hope will come later & I hope they are actively testing AI integration, but day to day it runs our practice management effectively & I wouldn't change.

Pros:

I am such an advocate of EzyVet since we joined in May 2023. It has helped us tidy up our inventory & client communications so so much. I like how we can customize it to the needs of our practice. Is it perfect? No, but it definitely makes us more efficient & we are better set up to capture charges accurately by creating templates for all of our therapeutics, procedures & surgeries.

Cons:

I wish we could link better with Jotform & other externals to make our CSR team workload better. I MASSIVELY wish it integrated with WhatsApp.

Evo felt very outdated & gave us limited capabilites for tracking KPIs, clinet compliance etc.

The Best Practice Management Software for Small Animal Hospitals

Wonderful. No software is perfect, but this is the closest we found during our demos and we looked at a lot of options. ezyVet hasn't let us down. yet.

The software is intuitive for all of our team to use and is reliable. The implementation was also very easy with the onsite team to assist us during the first week of our rollout.

Cons:

I wish customizing reports were a little easier. We run a lot of reports and sometimes we need to call for assistance in creating them. Overall, the reporting is robust.

We initially moved from Cornerstone to something cloud-based, Daysmart-Vetter. Their implementation was not the best and we had issues.

I have absolutely nothing positive to say about this software. I have been in the vet med field for over 20 years, this system is absolute garbage

Everything, this system is tedious, time consuming and completely and unnecessarily dumb. everything takes so much more time to do and has killed our efficiency

Don't buy in.

One of the worst companies I have dealt with in business. They are in it for the money. They knowingly lock you in to a contract that you can't get out of. Then they do not complete their portion of any work but if there is a delay it is all on the user. Once you finish implementation, you are on your own to just figure it out.

The features they sold us on will be awesome if they worked. The ability to work between multiple sites. The ability to control inventory over multiple sites.

Cons:

There is absolutely no help in setting the software up. They charge ALOT of money for this phase, but it is all DYI. The implementers don't know their own software. No two people can tell you the same thing. Most of the time they contradict themselves. You have to learn how to set up the software and use the software on your own by watching videos. The videos don't match what the implementers say, nor do they match the quizzes in the training. It does not do what they say it will do.

Monthly cost. But due to hidden fees, they probably ended up the same in cost. Also rhapsody had a third party doing reminders and the wellness plan.

We wanted to go to a cloud based software that would allow us to manage clients, patients and inventory in one place. We also wanted to bring reminders and our wellness plan into the system to alleviate issues that have developed with third party software.

Way too many steps and options to be efficient without customization/learning curve

Frustrating. There is seemingly no way to create estimates for clients that can then be digitally transferred into a later invoice. Once estimates are created, we have to manually recreate them on the invoice which creates more work and opportunity for error. My hospital also has an excessive list of bloodwork options, most of which are rarely used, making it EXTREMELY cumbersome to find the right labwork for a patient at a reasonable price. There are also way too many steps to get something done. Part of this is because my hospital never provided any sort of training or standardized sop for use -there may be more efficient ways to use- but if you are a relief person or new user trying to navigate it without any instruction or I guess if it hasn't been customized for the practice flow, it is a nightmare.

It has a lot of fuctionality options which likely could be useful if setup correctly. There seem to be many ways for creating customizable templates. .

Cons:

Without extensive individual customization to streamline use and options, it is very clunky and inefficient, not intuitive. I get lost between the various tabs. It is hard to scroll through a patient's record if you are not on the right tabs.This creates a distraction that interferes with client interaction.
