Easy to Use Software

From drilling operations to completions and workovers, RigReports is an intuitive and easy to use software for activity reporting in the upstream oil and gas industry.

Pros:

RigReports makes report distribution and scheduling simple. It provides a central location for all rig and other field activity. Onboarding is easy and the formats are more straightforward than other similar software I have used. The job cost tracking capabilities and analytics are very useful.

Cons:

There little that I dislike about RigReports. I would like if attachments would download with the End of Job Reports Packet.

Reasons for switching to RigReports

WellEz was more expensive and difficult to use. The data entry was clunky. RigReports automates many of the operations in Excel.

I can’t think of a thing I didn’t like about it.

Rig reports

The overall experience with rig reports has been positive from both the field user and input to the end user when pulling reports or sending daily reports.

Pros:

Rig reports activity reports and cost tracking make it easy for the consultants in the field to keep track of the daily activities and pass along to the engineers in the office. The program allows easy access to find previous job reports and retrieve in seconds. Cost comparisons can easy be done through the program.

Cons:

It works as required. I have not had any issues with the program and if something is needed to be added a quick call gets it taken care of.

Reasons for switching to RigReports

Had many issues with excel files and formulas not carrying over so costs would be incorrect. Also had limited days that would be included and would take work to fix. Finding the files within our company data base was also a challenge. The rig reports database makes it easy to go back and compare jobs.

Pros:

The ease of access and navigating Rig Reports is awesome. The system is very easy to use and the built in PowerBI analytics make things incredibly easy for both the office and the field to use.

Cons:

There was some time consumption transferring all of our reports out of the old system to Rig Reports due to the complexity and variations in each document regarding the text. We plan to test a new tool with Rig Reports to help speed up this process. The team at Rig Reports know where their cons are and are actively addressing them!
