Putting the Easy in Easy Board

Great customer service, easy to use, easy to afford!

Pros:

Easy, affordable, aesthetic without being complicated, and no add-ons or "upgrade to unlock" features.

Cons:

The only thing I wish it had was compatibility with Zoom and Google Calendar, but I believe one or both of those features are being added shortly!

Affordability, features, no pricing per user or per committee, simple set up, great customer service, free trial period.

Reasons for switching to Easy Board

OnBoard was expensive, charged per user, included many "upgrade to unlock" features, was overly complex to navigate, required many expensive add-ons for specific features, and forced us to pay an entire year for an add-on we had requested to be removed within the "upgrade window." Since I requested the change during our official "renewal meeting" instead of doing so in writing, they pretended that I had not made the request.

I'm just sorry we didn't start sooner!

It's been great! I really am happy with the user ease and the customer service. The company is really responsive and can modify things a lot of things for you when possible. It has saved me a lot of work already and I can tell the more we utilize it the more time it will save. My Board has given me good feedback and seems to be adjusting well (and I have a board of 30!). I also like that Easy Board is always taking input and improving the platform as they go.

Pros:

I just purchased a few months ago, so it's very fresh and I'm in the infant stages. Onboarding is really easy. There are 1-1 orientations, tools, and folks to help you along the way. The program itself is very user friendly.

Cons:

So far, I'm new to it and haven't really found anything to be an issue. Little kinks here and there come up, but the AI help or the staff themselves have helped me through it all.

Reasons for choosing Easy Board

Really great webinar to preview the product, simple but effective software so makes it easy to use and understand. Price was also an attractive feature. Staff maintained communication but not in an annoying way.

Easy Board is user friendly and the single sign on capabilities has made the utilization stronger from our board members. It has been an accessible "hub" for board members to access board materials and announcements. The way admin can send announcements or messages directly from the platform and have notifications be sent to user emails is really helpful.

Cons:

We have not utilized the library feature as much as we'd like to due to the format and organization of it. It would be a very useful area for Easy Board to improve.

Love how organized all the meeting info is. The library for additional materials is a game changer for us.

My board has wished there was a comments/discussion option so that conversations regarding certain meetings or projects can be saved along with meeting info

Best Tool for Keeping Everything in One Place

I love the ease of keeping our information all in one place and keeping documentation updated and archived. It's also great for keeping our 5013C status current as needed.

It's easy to keep everybody updated on all aspects of our non-profit. The budgets, financials, and updated committee meeting notes.

Cons:

Always having to help the "non-tech" folks with how to see anything. Not really a software issue, but people are stubborn about Tech sometimes.

Pros:

Our Board of Directors found it really easy to access and navigate. It's super simple so that even if you're not in there everyday, you can remember how to get around and find things. I like that it sets up roles by committees and groups. The even feeds down like a social media platform, most current at top. At first that was confusing but we got used to it fast. The sharing to calendars, Google Docs, and Zoom link integrations work well. Log in is intutive and forgiving.

Cons:

Our only issue is that after a few years, our document library is getting a little cluttered. It would be helpful to have some kind of archiving or sub folder option, but basically, we put our archives in our official cloud accounts. This tool is best for managing muliple working groups in real time, not as a document repository.

Easy Board Lives Up to Its Name

It's hard to imagine a more aptly named product. If your primary goal is to make running Board Meetings and distributing Board documentation easier, this is the product for you. It does not include documentation authoring tools, but why would you need them to be included when Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and all the other such tools are readily available and excel at what they are there for? While Easy Board is clearly targeted at nonprofits (since we don't typically have the funds available to implement the larger, costlier Board products on the market), I would easily recommend this to for-profit organizations as well if the goal is to simply simplify your Board Meeting management without a lot of muss and fuss. The learning curve is unbelievably short, and this product is approachable to even the most technologically challenged individuals. Furthermore, the implementation and administration efforts are equally simple. Availability of staff for setup and issue resolution is top-notch. Easy Board is a full-featured product that does EXACTLY what it promises to do: make managing Board Meetings Easy.

It lives up to its name and doesn't promise anything it can't deliver. It truly is the easiest Board Meeting Management software I have worked with, and I have worked with many across the cost/feature spectrum. The company didn't promise anything it couldn't deliver.

Cons:

I wouldn't call this a con per se, but if I had to identify one feature that would add the most value, it would be the availability of a mobile app for those Board Members accessing from a tablet. The website is full-featured, so we're not losing anything, but I think that would be the most value-added feature they could add right now.

Cost versus value. It was important that I find a tool that meets my minimum needs at an affordable price, and both requirements were exceeded.

100% compliance/use by members. Because of the design, our Board adopted the platform without much trouble at all. I have recommended to other nonprofits seeking a simple, effective solution.

We balanced cost vs. requirements and Easy Board won hands-down. It almost seemed too good to be true. But it has met expectations.

Cons:

The platform addressed all our requirements which focused on simplicity and ease of use.

A Great Board Management Tool with Room for Improvement

As an administrator working for an NGO, Easy Board has been a game-changer for our organisation. It has significantly reduced the time spent on meeting preparations and follow-ups. While there’s some room for improvement, especially in mobile usability, I would still highly recommend it to any organisation looking to streamline their board management.

The user-friendly interface and centralised document storage are fantastic, making it simple for our board members to access what they need without hassle. The automatic reminders are also a huge plus, ensuring that everyone stays on track.

Cons:

While the platform is overall very smooth, the mobile experience could be improved. Some board members have mentioned that navigating documents on smaller screens can be a bit tricky. A more optimised mobile app would make it even better.

Pinch and zoom should work pretty well, or rotating the phone to view horizontal should give a little more space to read the content.
