Sales Tax Audit Solved.

Pros:

I had a client with four months of sales tax records in PDF, some 1,450 pages long. They wanted all those in Excel format with no page breaks, headers, or subtotals for the state auditors. I downloaded Able2Extract and discovered how to set a template. With that established, I had their sales tax records in Excel in less than 36 hours. I was very pleased.

Cons:

The initial learning curve can be a little complex, but that can also be the result of the format you are attempting to convert from.

INCREDIBLY ACCURATE

THE PROGRAM EXPORTED DATA TO EXCEL BETTER THAN ANY OTHER PROGRAM I HAVE EVER USED OR TRIED. THE LAYOUT AND THE NUMBERS TRANSFERRED WITH FEW EXCEPTIONS AS COMPARED TO THE OTHER MAJOR COMPETITORS' PDF PROGRAMS, WHICH DISTORTED THE TEXT OR COMBINED TEXT AND NUMBERS TOGETHER CREATING LONGER REVIEW AND FIX TIME.

Not for DWG use

It was difficult to get customer service to reply to my emails. And they stated that they would like the opportunity to fix the problem before I get a refund, however, I have yet to hear anything back from them and their engineers, and it has been over a week since my last communication with them.

It was easy to set up, and to use. The commands were relatively easy to learn.

Cons:

This program failed to perform as promised. It did not transfer lines to my DWG program, it transferred characters to generate the look of lines. When my engineers zoomed in to work with the drawings there was no lines that were workable.

Reasons for choosing Able2Extract Professional

Due to it claiming to transfer from PDF to DWG. After considerable work building my house plans, my program is not compatible with my engineers, so, I needed to change my PDFs from the copy center into DWG. I found this program with a general search, and it was worthless.

Able2 Extract Pro the Best PDF conversion program

Again, so far it's been good experience. I am glad I chose the Able2 Extract Pro and no other products. I also am happy with the Customer Service and tech support communication.

Pros:

Able2 Extract program is a very easy to use program and very user friendly. I have been using this program since 2016 and have upgraded three times since then I am on version 21.

Cons:

I have not had any issue with the latest version. But I have not used it much since I downloaded the new version. I still need to study other uses. I would like to learn the conversion from pdf into word I seem to have difficulty

My thoughts

I have a long standing exposure to this software. I consider it an essential part of my toolbox. I recognize that the company innovates well across its development and custumer service is sound.

Pros:

Features I rely on most is the ability to create consistent templates that can be efficiently be applied across large documents. I enjoy the freedom to skip columns and set collums as a key for row creation.

Cons:

Some documents raise error messages and sometimes processes abort at an advanced stage of time input. Sometimes within the same document, certain pages cannot be processed. The product works great when the entire document is aligned properly and has an consistent text overlay. German special characters, maybe in earlier versions where not recognized. A2E is fantastic where it performs well, however, is not yet the only ocr solution required in all instances.

Opens and converts pdfs fine, text fill is worthless

Overall, I have been able to open pdfs and convert them to Word. That's it. I will continue to search for another software, since Adobe pretty much takes over the computer and all its apps and thus is not an option, before my renewal date.

Pros:

I like the quick customer service, which was the reason I canceled a previous subscription from a company that took days to respond. The price point was roughly twice of that of the previous subscription, but I made it clear I was spending to get on-the-day assistance. I've gotten that. But the software does not work as it should, see below.

Cons:

The main reason to purchase pdf software is to be able to edit and fill pdfs. This one *looks* like it will do what Adobe and others do, but it doesn't. When using the Enter Text function, it is not supple or productive. Changing the font is a mystery, the guide for the text entering function takes you to the field you want to enter, but it is not clear where the text will land so it is clunky and difficult to produce a professional result. Reaching out to support just yielded a tech who asked for the document then responded that he/she had no problem with it (I hate that). Investintech wants me to purchase a separate support subscription (not expensive) and I would, if the basic necessary functions worked better.

Reasons for switching to Able2Extract Professional

Needed customer service for questions / help that did not take more than one day to respond. Needed software that did not *own* my other apps.

If you are still having trouble using the text editing and form filling functionalities in Able2Extract, our support agents will be more than happy to provide you with a detailed step-by-step tutorial on the subject. The process is different for interactive and non-interactive PDF forms. Additional info can be found in our knowledge base and Help file that is available for download. Rest assured, the editing tools work as intended: you can customize the font style and size, pinpoint the exact location of text using the X and Y coordinate lines, move text boxes around for more accurate placement, etc., with potential limitations due to various specific PDF document properties (structural elements, layers, rich media, etc.). Regarding premuim support, it is not required, but offers many benefits like priority handling, free access to future major and minor updates, volume discounts and more.

I love that it is customizable and that I can accurately convert PDF's to CSV based on the template that I am able to make. This is by far the best converter on the market.

Able2Extract Professional review

Able2Extract Professional has been essential software I use for my schoolwork, making making working with PDFs much easier. The OCR technology is great as it allows me to edit and customize assignment templates saving me a massive amount of time. The PDF creation feature is very useful when I need to combine work I have done from multiple formats, I can easily take an Excel and Word document and combine it into a PDF. However, the biggest downside is the pricing—as a student, the $199 fee is very expensive. A more affordable student package would definitely make this software more accessible for those who need the software but can not afford it. Taking the the high price out of the picture, its large amount of features and it being user friendly makes it essential for businesses and individuals.

Pros:

IT is a great tool for individuals, students and company's who work with PDFs very frequently. It's OCR technology is one of its best features which I mostly use, it is quite helpful when modifying assignment templates that are given to me in PDF format. Another benefit is the software's ability to create PDFs from other file formats, which makes it easy to combine Word and Excel documents into a single PDF that is ideal for turning in assignments. The security tools are also very helpful, especially when it comes to adding digital signatures to documents that require one necessary and adding passwords to secure important PDFs.

Cons:

While Able2Extract Professional 20 is great for many groups, its pricing is a major drawback, especially for students. The license to use the software is $199 which is quite expensive. I believe students should at least be discounted as not many people who require this software have $ 199
