Good for our sales team

Overall it has been good. Our team uses it daily and has gotten familiar with it over the years. I am not sure if we would want to change to anything else

Pros:
Saleforce has been a pivitol piece of our sales team. They use the program daily for all of their leads and customer needs.
Cons:
There can be a large learning curve for getting familar with everything. It really is an indepth program so some time needs to be taken to fully function.

My Data Cloud experience

This isn't a plug-and-play solution. You need technical expertise, time for proper setup, and realistic expectations. If you're already heavily invested in Salesforce and have complex data unification needs, it can deliver real value. But if you're hoping for something quick and easy, this might not be it.

Pros:
Performance is generally solid, though we occasionally see lag when running complex segmentations on our larger datasets. Also worth noting - it's not cheap, so make sure you've got the use cases to justify the investment. Overall, if you're already in the Salesforce ecosystem and dealing with fragmented customer data, it's worth the effort. Just budget time for implementation and training.
Cons:
Integration with non-Salesforce tools is clunky. Supposed to be universal tool but it clearly works best if you're 100% in their ecosystem. We've run into some issues syncing.

I would go for a different program.

Customer support is just ok, data management is nothing special, reporting, performance and speed are inaccurate. In all, I do not like the value for the money.

Solid platform, but you’ll need patience

4

Overall, it did the job - once the plumbing was sorted. Day-to-day, it gave me better data to work with, fewer dead leads, and more confidence in the pipeline. But it also came with the usual Salesforce tax: complexity, admin overhead, and the sense that you're always one configuration away from needing outside help. Good tool for mature teams, but not something you just “plug in and go”.

Pros:
Once it’s set up properly, the visibility you get is unreal. Being able to pull customer data, touchpoints, and history into one spot made my day-to-day a lot easier. As someone in inside sales, it was handy seeing cleaner segments and having more accurate lists without having to chase the ops team. It genuinely helps with prioritising who to call and when.
Cons:
The setup and ongoing tweaks are the painful part. Nothing is ever “quick”, and unless you’ve got someone technical on hand, you’re waiting around to get changes made. It feels heavier than it needs to be, and you definitely pay for every ounce of capability. For smaller teams or those without a proper admin, it can feel like overkill.

Salesforce positivity

Overall it is a great online base and secure. I feel like information is easy to access and keep organized. It is something I would recommend to someone, or organization, needing to upload data online.

Pros:
I liked that you were able to keep an organized list of individual files that could be seperated by years, majors, sports, etc. I also liked how easy it is to add events and update files whenever needed.
Cons:
The thing I liked the least was navigation. When you first open salesforce it can be tricky to find the correct spot to go, it tends to open in integration instead of the salesforce home page so navigating back to that for contacts is my least favorite thing.
