Big Fan of IVM
5
I use the Rules Composer and Standards Composer extensively. These two composers interact intuitively and quickly launches me into Standard definition with a link to the possible rules that I can leverage for data quality scorecards. I always know if the Business Rule is in progress or approved based on the built-in workflow. I can also open attachments to view the actual data that is deemed to be in-scope for each rule. I also love the Processes and data dictionary components with the end to end view of the entire process (e.g. source to pay, order to cash).

Key Tool for an Enterprise Governance Program!
4
IVM has been a critical component of our overall Data Governance program. We now have a simple way to capture and share key information about our data elements and processes. It has also helped us kick start our Data Stewardship program to ensure we are building a strong dynamic framework for managing all facets of our enterprise data. How we can get away from static sharing of data via Excel or PowerPoint!

It's OK but isn't easy to use
3
I really like the concept of IVM. It's a great tool for capturing and organizing your data about your data. However, the interface has 2 MAJOR flaws. 1st, the "Remember Me" function doesn't even work. I've written websites and I'd be embarrassed if the simplest function of "Remember me next time" doesn't work. 2nd, is the search function. It is horrible. There is no multi word pattern search. If your subject title is, for example, "Customer Name Requirements", you can NOT search on "Customer Requirements" and get this document returned. If you don't know what you are searching for, then IVM's search function is useless. When they specifically fix the search ability, the tool will be really good!

Huge Increase in Efficiency
5
We had lots of business rules well documented but they were in a format that was only consumable by the master data team. They were full of acronyms and techy terms and lacked context around the business reason to have this rule. IVM helped us define the business context of data and make it accessible across the organization. Now that we have the business context of our information, we can use IVM to search within definitions to quickly find anything we need. Not only that, but we can search on the field. This comes in handy for a new resource who doesn't know what the process is, therefore isn't even sure what to search for to find what they are looking for. They can simply use the search feature to reverse search and it brings them directly to the rule. Before IVM, they would have to find someone who knew or dig through spreadsheets, and at the end of the day, they may not have been able to find it at all. This has been a huge increase in efficiency.

Best place to share your documents
5
DATUM is one of the finest tool I have used in past 8 months. All the necessary documents are shared throughout our company , and is easily accessible whenever required. Datum provides us all kind of customization needed on our requirement. Documents can be searched with different ways using common words or rule # if anyone knows it. Helps us in our daily basic job. All above this it is cost effective also. Keep up the good work team Datum. Loved it.

My Data Dictionary on Steriods
5
We chose DATUM to build out the consistent and global data management components necessary to support our evolving corporation. It's rare to find a company that speaks the data management language. Many will give you the sales pitch, but we immediately saw that DATUM knew this world inside and out and could speak to the downstream impacts on systems, processes, and people. We used DATUM's Information Value Management® (IVM) platform to crowd-source the existing and new rules and standards across all systems and countries. IVM captured all of the data attributes, functionality, downstream impacts, team ownership, and prioritization all within one user-friendly platform. IVM was my data dictionary on steroids. It took my separate Excel data dictionary and Word documents and turned them into one glamorous in-hand solution.

Great for Master Data and Metrics Management
4
IVM is a great tool to use for Master Data Management and Metrics Management. We are using it to documnet all rules, metrics, definitions. It shows easyly impact of changes of data and or metrics. However, we would like our IT and business teams to use the tool, but it's not easy to navigate for somebody who has viewing access to the tool, but doesn't use it on a rather regular basis. This tool is complex, because data is complex.....

IVM review for MDM
4
IVM is an excellent tool to organize rules, standards, and data dictionary fields. It is hard to communicate value to Sr. Management with a foundational tool like IVM that helps in streamlining all the activities for MDM that takes place in silos. It would not have been possible without DATUM's ongoing support and partnership with Abbott to highlight these benefits to our Sr. Management.

Useful organization
4
I am new to IVM, having only been using it for a couple of months, but find it to be a useful tool our company has enlisted to help us organize our data governance efforts. Having a central location for me to identify and learn our data processes has been extremely beneficial and time-saving.
