About Zap Data Hub

ZAP Data Hub is a hybrid business intelligence solution that caters to businesses across various industry verticals that include manufacturing, retail, wholesale providers and more. The solution can either be deployed on-premise or hosted in the cloud. It provides businesses tools and functionalities that help them to collect, integrate, analyze and present their business information.

ZAP’s modeling module offers features like unioning tables and capabilities to augment data using SQL. ZAP’s data quality applications help ensure data profiling, cleansing and validation that helps users track and fix issues in real time. ZAP’s BI solution also allows users to author, view and modify reports from the built-in web portal on a connected mobile device such as tablet or smartphone.

ZAP support integration with various third-party systems such as Tableau and Qlikq. Support is available via phone, email and other online resources.

ZapDataHub is probably the easiest out there to use. With great user interface.

Nothing much. Just maybe the pricing could be a little lower.

Data Hub - data model for BI reports

To complement Power BI or any visual solution, Data Hub is an excellent option that help the business and reduce time to implement a solution of BI that can have multiple database that need to be integrated

Pros:

It's eassy to use, have steps in case that you need to turn back, have an ELT process, tabular or cube in SQL. Is an excellent tool to improve the backend process, that increase the speed and reduce de risk to do all this in the different SQL languajes.

Cons:

The software is managed for their own team and in case of a bug, you need to contact them to help you.

Zap BI for Dynamics AX

Pros:

Makes for very quick cube build and has XMLA built especially for AX. Not much work needs to be done for mapping or relationships. Zap support has always been very quick to respond and resolve issues. I have had a very positive working relationship with everyone I've met from Zap as company.

Cons:

It would be nice to have some better insight to the CubeXpress product and how to make some tweaks for our own customization of our environment. It would be a nice feature to be able to view the MDX code behind the scenes. I don't have anything specifically that i like least about the vendor.
