About Zix Email Encryption

ZixMail is an on-premise email encryption solution that helps healthcare providers, financial institutions and other businesses secure email communication with external and internal stakeholders. The platform enables organizations to encrypt and decrypt attachments and other confidential information across emails.

ZixMail supports installation on various on-site and web-based email systems and Windows devices and provides automatic distribution and retrieval of public encryption keys using ZixDirectory. It offers a host of features such as proof of delivery, automated key management, multiple email servers, message/attachment compression and more. Additionally, the application allows users to send secure messages to multiple users, authenticate recipients and receive timestamps to record the opening time of emails.

ZixMail supports integration with Microsoft Outlook via a plugin, enabling businesses to securely send and receive emails. Pricing includes annual subscriptions and support is provided via phone, email, FAQs and other online measures.

ZixMail over all is one of the best ecrypted emails I have ever used.

Pros:

Ease of use, ease of setting up. Good customer support, so easy to use with Microsoft Outlook. My clients use this software and it was nice to be able to send and receive what I needed so efficiently and secure. The security and encryption is so important in my line of work and Zix takes this seriously and works hard to make sure this is not violated.

Cons:

The cost of the software was out of my budget for a 2 person office. For years their software was reasonably priced and then for some reason they too a huge price increase and I could never get a valid answer on why.

Simple, easy, no frills

If you don't have an alternative for secure, encrypted mail, it's pretty good.

Pros:

Zixmail is easy to use and simple. It doesn't have a bunch of frills or options, but you don't really need any when it comes to sending encrypted emails.

Cons:

It is separate from Outlook, so slightly less convenient than using Virtru which is integrated into Outlook already.

Pros:

I love how this program monitors my email and let's me know when suspicious activity has been quarantined. I can then see the emails which have been sent to the side to view them and determine if they are spam and harmful. Typically this program is on point and knows when something is harmful.

Cons:

I wish there was an option to review my email summary more often than weekly.
