Scribble Maps succeeds when QGIS crashes!

Truly astounded at how much easier, more capable, and performant it is vs QGIS. Typically you'd expect a desktop app like QGIS to perform better than a cloud-based offering, however the opposite is true with Scribble Maps. It easily handled tasks that crash QGIS!

Cons:

This could be a positive for some, but the Photoshop-like UI took a bit of getting used to for me.

Reasons for switching to Scribble Maps

QGIS was unable to handle the task of overlaying an image and tracing a GeoJson LineString.

That you have freedom to draw over a selected area and color code the selected areas for easy identification there of. Would love to have more functions and 3D views

That we can no do 3D prints of the maps and colors are to little

Extremely Satisfied Customer

My initial rating of this program would have been an 8 out of ten due to "bugs" I had encountered while using program. However, the incredibly detailed customer service I received revealed most of those "bugs" to be user error, while the remaining ones were reacted to excitedly as an opportunity to improve the interface. This experience absolutely elevated my rating of scribble maps to a 10.

Pros:

The first thing that stands out about scribble maps is that it's the first program I've used in the past 10 years that does everything I wished it would right out of the box (and that's saying something considering the ridiculous complexity of the maps I'm building). While it takes a bit of time to learn all of the tools, one you do Scribble maps makes you feel like a bit of a wizard with just what you can produce. I also really appreciate the very broad range of customization and data-tethering of the lines and markers. There's hundreds of styles to choose from of infinite sizes and colors, and all of it can be imbued with filterable attributes that make it easy to simplify a complex picture into something more easy to digest. Lastly, the customer service is really top notch. The level of detail they put in to their responses to my questions was truly impressive.

Cons:

There are some inconsistencies in convention in some of the tools (i.e. the process to edit the size of a line is different then the process to edit the size of a marker) such that the user needs to put a little more effort into learning the interface. However once learned the program is as effective as you could wish for.

Reasons for choosing Scribble Maps

For every other map program I looked at, there was some sort of fatal flaw or general limitation to the program that didn't allow me to do what I wanted to do. Whether it was the degree to which I could customize of markers, or the amount of data I could attach to those markers, or the ability to export/input data in an easy and useful way. Scribble maps was the one that could do it all.

My eight (8) months experience with Scribblemap

The App had really help with data visualization and also help my company to delineate clearly the boundary of our distributors. This is currently saving us a lot. Thanks to scribble map, we are now able to optimize the sales reps' route.

excelent product and a superb value

Scriblemaps ease of use is invaluable i have used major mapping software that is readily available and scribblemaps was so easy to pick up and has saved countless hours of my time.

Cons:

Its hard to find a least liked part of scribblemaps I have put it to the test and it constantly outperforms.

Reasons for choosing Scribble Maps

We are a small agency and don't need a expensive route planning software for the 8 fixed routes we run here. I needed something that could produce a quality map and i can overlay points and parts of routes for the map. Scribble maps did everything i needed and was so easy to pick up it was a no brainer to get this in my tool box production time was cut and quality went up great product recommend to everyone who needs to create maps quickly, accurately and beautiful.

Reasons for switching to Scribble Maps

google maps is not user friendly and lacks allot of options that scribblemaps offer and i cut my production time for route maps down probably 75%. In the end i have a much cleaner product.

Really good, I've used frequently for a long time. It helps me plan out boundaries for businesses which is my primary use of it. My favorite feature is letting lines link up which makes it easier to draw prefectly on a map.

Very user friendly, the most accessible software to design and draw on maps. I also like being able to consult maps from my phone and laptop

Cons:

The icons are ugly and could be better. There needs to be more detail on the maps. I sometimes have to have Google maps open on another tab to reference important locations such as train stations that aren't marked.

Ease of use. I can draw lines easily. I like that I can import and export nearly any format. This make collaboration and sharing very easy.

An unconventional application

Pros:

As a researcher and author on military history, I needed a versatile product for creating maps that documented the history of military units during WWII. Scribble Maps proved to be a very intuitive, easy-to-use platform.

Cons:

The search feature could be more robust. When trying to locate smaller towns/villages by name, the sometimes do not surface in search.
