One of the ones to look out for

The attendance tracking and overall value of money spent on bamboo HR definitely has me referring them to all of my colleagues.

What I love most about bamboo HR was help personal, the software adhere to your company even something as small as the colour scheme and your company logo. That definitely means a lot to small business owners like me.

Cons:

There’s not much to dislike about bamboo HR however one thing that I didn’t like too much was the implementation time. It took a little long to get fully implemented however it was worth the wait.

Reasons for switching to BambooHR

I made the switch because bamboo HR’s customer support is top-tier. I never have to worry if I am going to be on hold for an hour and I always get the necessary answers that I need.

BambooHR: Surprisingly Functional, Shockingly Simple

Overall, using BambooHR is surprisingly pleasant—almost suspiciously easy for HR software. It actually does what it says on the tin, with just enough quirks to keep you entertained. You spend less time wrestling with paperwork and more time pretending HR is fun, which is… somehow impressive

My favourite part was that it doesn’t make basic HR tasks feel like a full-time job. A surprisingly low bar, but BambooHR clears it

Cons:

The only downside? You can’t bend it into a full circus act. Other than that, it’s almost too simple.

Reasons for switching to BambooHR

BambooHR is great… if you like simplicity. But once our needs grew, we wanted something a little more ‘grown-up,’ so we moved to PeopleHR for the extra features and flexibility.

The dashboard and the navigation is simple, still like the fact that I can self service as we have access to many features

The interface is still outdated , and I stopped using the mobile app as it’s really slow and not that good compared to the browser one

The HR Software That’s Great—But Not for Everyone

It has a side panel and a top panel. Side panel has a home page, my info, info about the team members and files. On top is inbox, resources and settings. Home page gives a nice overview for the company. Also one can visually see the hierarchy in an org chart.

Cons:

The scope of this tool is limited in this day and age. It seems outdated. Limited customisation eg for organisations with multi-entity

It was not able to address our multiple entity requirement, especially for USA. Also it was clunky ( at least then )

Great application for saving time and money.

We've loved it and it has definitely saved us a lot of time. I do hope to shop around for more of their products in the future. I've also very grateful that the phone application is almost identical to the website.

Pros:

I really like how employees have control over their own independent input and the access to notification options. The phone application is intuitive and website is just as easy to navigate which makes the overall software less confusing for new users. Payroll is also easy to keep track of and keeping up with employee attendance is a very simple process thanks to the open access.

Cons:

I wish there were more options to set up templates for when employees are scheduled to work so that it could be an all-in-one application for both scheduling and payroll. The software is great, just needs some more expansion on minor potentials.

Good solution for smaller companies w/ limited budget

Overall, Bamboo was a great solution for us for a bit. As we get bigger and our needs are more complex w/ org heirarchies, bifurcated role/job titles, etc, we need something more robust.

Once you get to know the system a bit, it's relatively easy to navigate. Straightforward UI and a good solution for smaller companies with smaller budgets.

Cons:

Not a robust UI and at times could be challenging to navigate trickier tasks. Given it's for companies with a smaller need set, it's limited in it's scope.

I love it. I have used several different apps for timesheets and payroll tracking, this hands down the best app with the most features.

Super easy to us and navigate. Allows me to easily track all my timesheets, pay stubs and request time off. Also let's me know if their are any new company policy documents I need to sign.

Cons:

It sometimes has trouble loading, but very rare. There have been a few times no one in the company could clock in.

Easy to use intuitive software. Profile features let's you see where you are as an employee easily.

Cons:

I'm not sure the way your holiday entitlement is displayed is as good as it could be. Where you have requested holiday, which has not yet been approved you are still shown the total amount of holiday available, even when you select calculate. This is misleading.
