About ShiftWizard

Designed for healthcare organizations, ShiftWizard is a cloud-based software that helps manage staff scheduling and optimize workforce management processes from a centralized platform. It lets supervisors track employee productivity in real-time, access analytics, visualize data graphically, and view performance predictions.

With ShiftWizard, staff members can establish two-way text-based communications, access calendars, and view contacts. It also allows administrators to view details of employees, such as department, shift timings, shift type, and others.

ShiftWizard lets organizations integrate the platform with several third-party applications, including ADP, Workday, PeopleSoft, Lawson, Kronos, Epic, Mckesson, and Meditech. Pricing is available on request, and support is extended via chat, email, phone, and other measures.

Shift wizard Lover

Overall, I feel shift wizard cuts scheduling concerns in half with its services provided through the software.

Pros:

Shift wizard is user friendly and ease of access via app and desktop. This is an all-in-one software that allows management and employees to easily schedule shifts. All requests can be approved and managed through this software.

Cons:

In the 3 years I have used shift wizard I have not experienced any downsides to the software.

Shift Wizard

I do not like shift wizard, it is never correct and because there are two campuses sharing information, multiple staff frequently go to the wrong campus. There is a daily dispute about who's on the wizard and who really shows up on the day you are supposed to work. Not user friendly at all and all staff complains about it.

I DO NOT LIKE ANYTHING ABOUT SHIFT WIZARD, IT IS DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER AND IT IS NOT PLEASANT TO LOOK AT.

Cons:

I HATE EVERYTHING ABOUT SHIFT WIZARD. I FIND MYSELF NOT LOOKING AT IT TO SEE WHAT'S GOING ON OR LOOKING AT IT TO PICK UP SHIFTS - IT IS DEPLORABLE.

Reasons for switching to ShiftWizard

Staff did not make the switch, the Management team or someone above nursing made the switch. They inform it is supposed to track our JBDEV, Healthstream and other things but like I said why do we have JBDEV to swipe in and out? The wizard is useless to nurses and people who have to use it on a daily basis for scheduling and it has caused much undue stress and errors for the ED staff using it.

Pros:

How simple and clear scheduling and reviewing my schedule on ShiftWizard was. Easy to make changes, log in from my phone, swap shifts.

Cons:

No true complaints honestly, sometimes they’d have updates at inconvenient times for me but that isn’t in their control.

Nurses using shiftwizard

It has been okay. Nothing great and nothing terrible.

Pros:

There is a quick and easy log on which is helpful and the phone app is friendly to use. There is a good month to month view to see your overall schedule.

Cons:

This is not very user friendly. There is no way to make sure people to do not sign up for overtime within this. You are also not able to view coworkers for your day. You have to go to department view and then mark off filters each time you do this, which is a lot to have to do. The multiple views for facilities is very confusing.

Honest opinion

Now that I’m use to it. It’s fine but in the beginning I did not like it at all. Very hard to learn and not very user friendly.

I can see all of my staff on one page for 4 weeks at a time. I like the Calendar view for my employees

Cons:

It was very difficult to learn. Lots of options to do different things but can be very overwhelming. You have to go in and out of lots of different screens and apply filters.

Shift Wizard

Still getting use to it. Not sure how I feel about it yet

Pros:

I like that the shifts go automatically into my phone, when connected to my iPhone calendar. It nice to be able to send messages to coworkers for trades, etc

Cons:

I don’t like how the messages show up when you send one to someone, regarding trading shifts, or working a shift, etc… I don’t like that the shifts you’ve worked don’t stay on your Iphones calendar after you’ve worked them. I dont like how you request time off. If you don’t need to use PTO, how do you put in for the days you need off that you don’t want to use PTO for? I went in and put in unavailable for the days I needed off but didn’t need to use PtO

I like the ease of the mobile app and being able to manage icons on each shift.

Cons:

Sometimes it glitches when I’m trying to sign up for shifts saying I’m signing up for too many shifts in one week.

the icons and ease of use signing up for shifts on the mobile app seeing your schedule in the monthly view and easily seeing who you are working with that day

Cons:

needs a user guide for when to use each icon and what they mean also trading part of a shift

I don't know above my pay grade but figured it had something to do with the other departments not liking it
