Best listing software so far!

To date it is the best listing software we have come across. Regular updates and bug fixes keep the software moving forward and manageable.

Pros:

The biggest plus of Sixbit is that it is an actual database. It holds records from other software, at least for us, dating back to 2014. In addition to saving the records we are able to get an analysis of the sales. While eBay only holds 90 days of information, Sixbit allows us to keep better tabs on sales and inventory. It is also very helpful to have multiple users, as the administrator I can keep track of who is listing which item which is very helpful when it comes time to credit employees for their sales.

Cons:

The only con of this software is its intricate coding and use of SQL. We have run into issues with fresh installations and other computers being unable to view images in listings.

Pros:

I love the way SixBit virtually automates every aspect of my sales! Once you've learned the interface, managing sales portals is almost effortless. My typical post sale process is only several minutes. My biggest problem is finding the right sized box to ship products. This software is a major time saver.

Cons:

I've been using SixBit since it rolled out years ago. I guess I'd have to say learning the interface might take some time but it is well worth it. I wish they would make this program work as a Point of Sale system as well.

Reasons for switching to SixBit Software

I used Seller's Assistant which eventually became Blackthorne. When Blackthorne was phased out I switched to SixBit.

I used turbo lister since 2008 and list over 100k items with it until ebay blocked it, it has some bugs but at least it would not do much damage on your existing listed , Sixbits try to manage your business ,listing, shipping , inventory .... (that I dont like ) I only used it to list items on my ebay and it was fine for that , it is based on SKU , if you have my items without SKU it will assign its own numbers , the problem is if your items have same title , it will assign same SKU to all of them even if they have different Ebay ID , Pic, Price .... I used this stupid software to update some of my items compatibility in bulk (I sale auto parts) it synced the all the listings with same title , all of my pictures gone , I cannot even find the orders because my item ID tags was in the pictures , their default auto database back up did not make any back up! customer support already knew the issue and their suggestion was to tick the option to end the duplicate listing (that their software made) so instead of 20 different door panels I will have 1 listing and rest will be deleted (genius solution from this morons ) I have to find and relist 1000 items from beginning because of their stupid programing and they do not even take responsibility , this will cost me few thousands dollar in sale and labor to fix it I will file a lawsuit ASAP they should be liable for these bugs Do not put your business on risk because of this buggy software

Feature Rich with Stellar Support!

Overall very good! I love having all my past listings archived for future reference. It's quick and easy to make new listings and to manage existing ones.

Feature rich! There is not much it can't do and the price is reasonable. Support is stellar, can't be beat! The configurability of every view/form is really nice. I'm able to set it up exactly how I like for quick and easy data entry.

Cons:

It feels and looks like "old" software with the UI design. Has a sluggish feel to it, especially when clicking to bring up an entry. It seems to refresh the list of items displayed when it shouldn't need to. This adds to the sluggish feel.

Sixbit Experience

It saves a lot of time by listing to several sites at once. I cannot imagine how much time it would take to list to each site separately,

It has the ability to list items on multiple sites at one time. It also lets you tailor items to specific sites.

Cons:

As with a lot of software it is hard to keep up with changes that the various sites make. It can sometimes require cleaning up records that were already input. For the most part, support helps with this.

Sixbit - the best eBay listing software!

I had to reinstall Sixbit after a computer crash and I was having problems with the install. I was able to get remote help from a terrific tech person at Sixbit named [sensitive content hidden] who made the reinstall a breeze!

SixBit software makes listing on eBay so much easier! You can save templates and settings and list with ease. It is also wonderful for managing inventory and making bulk changes to listings.

Cons:

Prices are going up a bit in Sept. 2024.

SixBit Software make is easy to sell on multiple eCommerce Platforms

Powerful and flexible, support is the best I've ever experienced. Platforms are always changing and SB stays up to date with them so functionality is barely impacted.

Cons:

The software is very flexible and customizable, but with that power comes a learning curve. It can be a bit frustrating for a new user, but that's normal for any software. Once you figure out how to make it do what you want, I bet you'll wonder how you got along without it.

Good Idea, Poor Execution

The software does have some good points. It does simplify listing on eBay for the small to mid-size store and makes shipping much easier than the shipping module in eBay.

Cons:

Many times it will not list all variations Installing updates invariably creates more bugs Revisions have to be sent multiple times to get them to post Reports error messages when there are no errors Customer support is horrible I have been using the software for nearly a year and I am having some of the same errors that I reported during the first month. I open a ticket, they say they don't see any problem and close the ticket. You can't call them unless you are willing to pay additional to talk to someone. My advice is to use something else that is more reliable. I haven't found what that is yet but don't use SixBit.

Sixbit is a great program to use, though it does have it's bugs

After working for an electronics recycling center for over 6 months, I am pretty familiar with the basics of sixbit. I don't have experience with uploading items or managing profiles as those features are restricted for my manager's use. Overall, I do like it as it is much easier than uploading each individual item to eBay. It did take a while to get used to the controls/buttons. One thing I will point out is that when the program is restarted, the layout changes to the default, even under a saved profile, and it takes a few clicks to get it back.

I like how easy it is to utilize templates when listing multiple items to eBay. It takes a lot of the legwork out, especially when listing hundreds of items per month.

Cons:

There is quite a learning curve when using the controls and understanding the window layout.
