About PRTG Hosted Monitor

Paessler PRTG Hosted Monitor allows you to monitor your network from any browser. You get all the benefits of Paessler IT monitoring: extensive features, highly flexible data management and powerful reporting across infrastructure, applications and services. There’s no need to order new hardware or look for a machine with spare capacity in your company. Our PRTG experts set up everything for you on reliable AWS servers in the region of your choice, including highly performant remote probes that collect data from the networks they are installed on and send it to a central hub (your hosted PRTG instance). This makes it easy to set up new environments. You can also use our Windows-based remote probes for monitoring devices inside your local network that are not publicly reachable.

    Pros:
    Ability to monitor endpoints, servers, internet connections, firewalls, and switches. Makes life easier when you know what is happening before users submit tickets.
    Cons:
    Configuration of the devices, sensors and notifications takes some learning. After the initial learning curve it was easy to add new devices, sensors, remote probes, and customize notifications.
