    4

Been with them for N-Able to SWinds, to N-Able, better as standalone product. They seem to pick a product then go tired of it, and swap it out. At least their core mission still worked well. Think it one of the best if not the best RMM product.

    Pros:
Remote desktop is the best I have experienced in the industry, easy to use, notification to user, good performance. Monitoring in general, very customizable, alerts are clear to what they are at. Easy to tune. Most alerts have built in reporting that can be exported to variety of formats. Scripting, cannot say anything bad about it. Write a script and away you go.
    Cons:
Reporting used to be an independent unit, I think since integration it has lost of of it usefulness. Has gone through several revisions of patch management, have not used the current version Gave up about 3 years ago. Network monitoring? difficult, Surprisingly alerting. 3 level of alerts, customer, org and SO, it seems if you configure customer it should be the priority, sometimes yes, sometimes no. Have the alert use an email at CU level, you may get it.

    Reasons for switching to N-central

better product, easier install, over all a better RMM tool

Patching control over other software. The ability to control devices as the console as opposed to as a user & ability to run commands as system or user based on automation policies.
    Cons:
The lack of direct SSH access to the box means we don't have the ability to install Defender for Endpoint etc.

    Reasons for switching to N-central

Poor remote control features in Kaseya. We needed more control of devices. Vendor management was also a problem.

Its very large - hard to know where to go for all the different features and elements when first stating off.

    Reasons for choosing N-central

Seemed most established and had the most features, Also, had previous experience with Solar Winds.

works well to help me manage my client tech environment. It has the managed anti-virus that is quite effective (Bitdefender) and seems to work well rolling out Microsoft patches.
    Cons:
N-central has poor reporting. It would be good to have more robust reports on automated tasks, that we can present to customers directly.

    Reasons for choosing N-central

the sales rep was annoying, and called me for many months almost every week.

    Pros:
N Central does a good job of managing updates and pulls relevant data about each endpoint. The built in Take Control is a good bonus. We've been able to drop Splashtop and use that instead. SentinelOne integration is a breeze to setup and deploy to endpoints as well.
    Cons:
Take Control is a bit rough around the edges. It works and is fine for technicians, but can't be used for our end users. We had to use NinjaOne to allow our clients to remotely access their machines.

    Reasons for choosing N-central

The robust looking reports were the main factor. Take Control leaves a lot to be desired, so we may end up going the Ninja route at the end of our contract.

    Reasons for switching to N-central

We switched because Datto sucks. Scheduled updates never seemed to happen properly, price changes and welching on our contract after the changeover to Kaseya left a bad taste in my mouth.

The main thing about N-Central that won us over is the reliability of running scripts. Scripts are executed almost immediately, on-demand and scheduled. Its very responsive and we've not encountered any issues at all that weren't our own fault.
    Cons:
There is a lack of support for Linux distros, the documentation claims to support linux however the "support" is very limited at the moment.

    Reasons for choosing N-central

N-Central is the most comprehensive, it doesn't come with a lot of paid addons and from the trial, it just worked, everytime.

    Reasons for switching to N-central
