GhostRetail is a live video co-shopping app that enables ecommerce merchants to offer personalized support over video on demand or via appointment.

Brands looking to offer a more human, personalized, and elevated customer experience are bringing live shopping to their customers through Ghost's simple implementation that layers seamlessly on top of any existing ecommerce tech stack.

During a live shopping call, consumers and live shopping associates connect over video to co-navigate a merchant's website. Associates can sell from a brick & mortar retail location, studio, customer service department, or even from home.

Associates can share or 'zap' products and collections over to customers or follow the customer's lead and watch where they're navigating to on the site. From there, associates and customers can add products to bag, and shoppers can check out within a call.

If a shopper wants to look at a product up close, the associate also has the option to minimize the site experience and present full-screen video where they can hold up or demonstrate how to use products, compare products side by side, or bring the 'theater of the store' to shoppers everywhere. Great company, cool tech, ahead of the curve.

I am happy overall. I see our ghost subscription as an investment, and I think it will pay off as the tech matures and the idea of video shopping, live shopping, and beyond becomes more mainstream.

Pros:

[sensitive content hidden] & the ghost retail team have done a great job getting us up and running. They offer advice and support, and are truly invested in our day to day success. They keep us in the loop as the tech is changing and the directions they are going. They take our input and feedback to create stronger product.

Cons:

The biggest challenge for us is getting customers comfortable with the idea of direct video. We have trouble overcoming this obstacle. However, ghost recognized this and are creating new products to help ease that transition. It feels like they have a solid understanding of the space.

Pros:

Love the ease of use of uploading the videos. Ghost is super user friendly and love how the app keeps the user on the website without leaving to another platform.

Cons:

Love the app! My only drawback is having to convert .mov files into mp4…this is the only thing that adds more time to uploading files

We use ghost live and other web and design services with ghost. Keeping the app within a company we use already is seamless.

GhostRetail is a great platform to integrate video shopping for our customers. The platform is super easy to use and implement.

Cons:

I wish there were ways to host multiple customers at the same time, but I know GhostRetail is constantly improving their offerings and I'm excited to see what they come up with!
