About Postage $aver

Postage $aver bulk mailing software helps small-volume and medium-volume mailers meet USPS requirements and earn these low rates, so it costs you less to deliver your message.

Postage $aver is ideal for small businesses, nonprofits, churches, community newspapers, political candidates or almost anyone who needs to prepare bulk mailings. It is great for print shops and shipping centers that serve those mailers.

It offers a variety of features including-

Walks you through each mailing step-by-step, so you don't have to learn "postal-speak";
Prints your addresses on popular label formats or directly on your mail piece, presorted for quick assembly in the required trays or sacks;
Prints an easy-to-follow instruction sheet for each mailing, listing the zip codes that go in each tray or sack;
automatically prints the required barcoded tray or sack tags using standard business card sheet stock;
Fills out and prints the correct USPS postage statement and required mailing reports;
Automatically adds barcodes, optional endorsement lines, and "Or Current Resident" lines, as applicable.

Pros:

It is the first mailing software I tried and I still use to the present, since I feel confident and comfortable on its use. I noticed too it is kept updated for functionality as well as for current USPS compliance. I love the fact that I can re-do the processing in my hand in case I made a mistake, or want to make adjustments, such as modify a little a better mail fit on trays, that finally allows to do a clean submission to the BMEU.

Cons:

It should be able to generate the DPC better from mailing lists that have been CASS processed, since sometimes the processing cost is lower.

I Highly recommend Postage Saver

I can't imagine how I did without it. It makes the very complicated USPS easy to work with. I have never had a problem with a mailing submitted to the BMEU or SCF. Here is my monthly e doc assessment "United States Postal Service, "eDoc Submitter Postage Assessment for Mail Quality Errors: No additional postage due" - NEVER A PROBLEM!

Pros:

It is so easy to use and makes preparing a mailing a breeze. It keeps me up to date with changes. If you're a small mailer going to the local BMEU, you will know more than most of the people on staff

Cons:

I can't think of ever not liking Postage Saver.

Postage $aver review

Does not completely place subscribers in the right order. Some are scattered and you have to go through labels in advance and mark them and then remember that. It would be nice if you could created a route number which would be broken up into the separate routes.

Pros:

Cost is the biggest benefit. I like the postal report. All I have to put in is percent and weight.

Cons:

Have to keep a separate list in Microsoft spreadsheet and do a mail merge every week. You have to mark the labels every week.

It was an old DOS program that printed on a dot matrix computer. It took forever to print and was worried about printer replacement if it ever broke down. Have a great printer now and needed new software.

Great Software!

So glad this is available! I'm not sure what I would have done without it when I was thrown into doing the bulk mailings for our company.

Pros:

It's easy to use and understand. The program will print step-by-step instructions which is very helpful especially for those first starting to do bulk mailings.

Cons:

Sometimes is difficult to know what an error is when Postage Saver cannot sort the mailing list.

Easy to Implement Affordable Software

I started using this postage software 10+ years ago, and I have to say, I'm thoroughly impressed. This software is incredibly easy to use. As a visual learner, I appreciate the user-friendly interface that makes navigating the program a breeze. I didn't need to spend hours reading manuals or watching tutorials to get started - everything was intuitive and straightforward. Another feature is the accuracy of the reports generated by this software. I've found them to be spot-on every time. It gives me peace of mind knowing that I can trust the data provided by this program. One thing I truly appreciate is the lightning-fast customer service response times. Whenever I've had a question, the support team has been quick to respond and incredibly helpful.

Cons:

The only downside for me is that the software is PC-based, and as an Apple user, I initially wished for compatibility with Apple software like Numbers. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that my Apple computer can easily export files to Excel, allowing me to seamlessly integrate this postage program into my workflow.

I've depended on Postage $aver for 20 years. Best investment I've ever made!

When I started my business in 2004, I chose Postage $aver because of the price. We had a very small budget to get started. It was the best investment I ever made! If I can understand how to install, update, and use Postage $aver, anybody can do it! The new Postal Wizard instructions have been a godsend. And I mean that. When I had one small problem, [sensitive content hidden] came to the rescue and quickly told me how to work it out. It was nothing to do with his product, but my unique situation with USPS. But we got it! Thank you so much! I've have recommended it to many people through the years.

I really like the ease of use, the instructions are easy to understand, the cost is great for small businesses. And the best part is whenever I have had a question or problem, [sensitive content hidden] has answered right away (even on weekends) and worked until we had it figured out. Plus, answered in a way that I understood exactly what to do - not like so many tech people that go way over my head.

Cons:

I can't really think of any cons. Maybe all the updates, but I know that's because of the USPS and [sensitive content hidden] has to keep us updated.

Price. Starting a small home-based business on a small budget, meant finding something affordable and simple to use.

Small Bulkmailer - Long Time User

Pros:

Postage saver does all of the heavy lifting with sorting, reporting and bar coding. Could never do bulk mailing without it. PLUS - we save the annual fee because we submit our mailings as Full Service.

Cons:

Doesn't do Carrier Route Presort for Marketing Mail Flats

Best Option!!!

I'm super happy that I found Postage Saver. As a small company operating with a small budget, it was really helpful to find what I needed at a price I can afford. A big bonus is that [sensitive content hidden] is very helpful and always willing to answer questions. That means I spend less time researching my questions and more productive work time!

Postage Saver is super easy to use and it works! It's also the lowest price I've seen which is amazing considering how user friendly it is. I've had much more expensive software that was harder to use (more complicated) but it didn't do more for the extra money.

Cons:

Everything is great. I can't think of anything I'd change.
